The Fairness of Yahweh’s Judgement

The Engrafted Word That is Able to Save Your Soul

“Therefore you, O son of man, say to the children of your people: ‘The righteousness of the righteous man shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression; as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall because of it in the day that he turns from his wickedness; nor shall the righteous be able to live because of his righteousness in the day that he sins.’  When I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, but he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity, none of his righteous works shall be remembered; but because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die. Again, when I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ if he turns from his sin and does what is lawful and right, if the wicked restores the pledge, gives back what he has stolen, and walks in the statutes of life without committing iniquity, he shall surely live; he shall not die.  None of his sins which he has committed shall be remembered against him; he has done what is lawful and right; he shall surely live.  (Ezekiel 33:12-16)

“Yet the children of your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ But it is their way which is not fair!  When the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, he shall die because of it.  But when the wicked turns from his wickedness and does what is lawful and right, he shall live because of it.  Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, I will judge every one of you according to his own ways.”  (Ezekiel 33:17-20)

Our Final Enemy Death Destroyed    snake-30-1662337667

And now Yeshua is risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.   1 Corinthians 1:20

For since by man came deathby man also came the resurrection of the dead.  For as in Adam all die, even so in Yeshua all shall be made alive.  But each one in his own order: Yeshua,

the first fruits,

afterwards those who are Yeshua’s at His coming. (I Corinthians 15:21-23)

Then comes the end, when Yeshua delivers the kingdom to Yahweh,

when Yeshua puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. (1 Corinthians 15:24)

when will you return signage

Signs Of The End

The Fall of Jerusalem

The fall of Jerusalem took place on the twelfth year of our captivity in the tenth month on the fifth day of the fifth day of the month. One escaping the captivity of Jerusalem came and said unto me: “The city has been captured!  (Ezekiel 33:21)

Destruction of Jerusalem by Ercole de' Roberti

The Cause of Judah’s Ruin

Then the word of the Yahweh came to me, saying: Son of man, they who inhabit those ruins in the land of Israel are saying, ‘Abraham was only one, and he inherited the land. But we are many; the land has been given to us as a possession.’  “Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “You eat meat with blood, you lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood. Should you then possess the land? You rely on your sword, you commit abominations, and you defile one another’s wives. Should you then possess the land?” ’  (Ezekiel 33:23-26)

“Say thus to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “As I live, surely those who are in the ruins shall fall by the sword, and the one who is in the open field I will give to the beasts to be devoured, and those who are in the strongholds and caves shall die of the pestilence. For I will make the land most desolate, her arrogant strength shall cease, and the mountains of Israel shall be so desolate that no one will pass through. Then they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have made the land most desolate because of all their abominations which they have committed.” ’ (Ezekiel 33:27-29)

Hearing and Not Doing

“As for you, son of man, the children of your people are talking about you beside the walls and in the doors of the houses; and they speak to one another, everyone saying to his brother, ‘Please come and hear what the word is that comes from the Lord.’ So they come to you as people do, they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their hearts pursue their own gain Indeed you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they do not do them And when this comes to pass—surely it will come—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.” (Ezekiel 33:30-33)

Judgement on Idolatrous Israel

Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them, and say, ‘O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God! Thus says the Lord God to the mountains, to the hills, to the ravines, and to the valleys: “Indeed I, even I, will bring a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places. Then your altars shall be desolate, your incense altars shall be broken, and I will cast down your slain men before your idols. And I will lay the corpses of the children of Israel before their idols, and I will scatter your bones all around your altars. In all your dwelling places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate, so that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, your idols may be broken and made to cease, your incense altars may be cut down, and your works may be abolished. The slain shall fall in your midst, and you shall know that I am the Lord.

A False Prophetess: Jezebel

Jezebel, the wicked queen of Israel in the 9th century B.C.  led the covenant people into the worship of pagan gods.  She encouraged Yahweh’s people to commit both physical and spiritual fornication by the idolatrous worship of other gods.  This “harlotry” was intolerable to Yahweh, and He condemned both Jezebel and her husband Ahab as well as all her children to death (1 Kings 21:23-25)–The Woman’s Study Bible, Second Edition, Thomas Nelson, Inc. 2006, page 1672.

The Dead Corrupt Church

In Revelation 2:20, the church of Thyatira was rebuked for tolerating “that woman Jezebel” in their midst.  This historic Jezebel had been dead for nearly one thousand years; however, a false prophetess with the same spirit had appeared in this church in the first century.  Similar to the first Jezebel, she acted fiercely independent and lacked a humble personality–The Woman’s Study Bible, Second Edition, Thomas Nelson, Inc. 2006, page 1672.

“And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write,

‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass:  “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first.  Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.  And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.  Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.  I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works. (Revelation 2:18-23)

In Revelation 2:20, the church of Thyatira is rebuked for tolerating “that woman Jezebel” in their midst.  The historic Jezebel had been dead for nearly a thousand years, but a false prophetess with the same spirit had appeared in this first-century.  Like the first Jezebel, she was fiercely independent and unsubmissive in character.  Also like Jezebel, she led the people of God into into idolatry and immorality under the guise of religion…Her doctrine bore semblance to orthodox Christianity to “seduce” Christ’s servants, but in essence, her degenerate mysticism promoted “the depths of Satan” by encouraging believers to accept idolatry and pagan state-worship (Rev. 2:24)–The Woman’s Study Bible, Second Edition, Thomas Nelson, Inc. 2006, page 1672.)

“Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. But hold fast what you have till I come. And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations

‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron;

They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’—

as I also have received from My Father; and I will give him the morning star.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ (Revelation 2:24-29 NKJV)

The Faithful Church

…‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”:  “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.  Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.  Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial  which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.  Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.  He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ (Revelation 3:7-13)

Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the answer to this question: How many seals are already opened?

The Seven Seals

First Seal: The Conqueror

Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.” And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. (Revelation 6:1-2)

Second Seal: Conflict on Earth

When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.”  Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword. (Revelation 6:3-4)

Third Seal: Scarcity on Earth

When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” (Revelation 6:5-6)

Fourth Seal: Widespread Death on Earth

When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.”  So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. (Revelation 6:7-8)

Fifth Seal: The Cry of the Martyrs

When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”  Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed. (Revelation 6:9-11)

Sixth Seal: Cosmic Disturbances

I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.  Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.  And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,  and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!  For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?(Revelation 6:12-17)

The Time Is Near

Then he (the angel) said to me (John), “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God (Yahweh) of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.

“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”  And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.  He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”  (Revelation 22:6-11)

After The Burial What is Next? Everlasting Punishment In Hell Or Life Eternal With Yahweh In The Kingdom–Part 1

“He (Yahweh) hath made every thing beautiful in his time…” (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Choose you this day whom you will serve: the Creator who makes all things beautiful or the Deceiver (Satan) who destroys all beauty due to envy of Yahweh.

Although you cannot see Satan, he does influence your life in the spiritual realm to keep you bound in a sinful lifestyle.  Sin disconnects us from a relationship with Yahweh our Creator who loves us.  Satan once spoke to me so I see and understand better how he operates due to my own personal walk with Yahweh.

The choice to sin or not to sin is yours to make.  You get to choose to continue to sin in defiance of Yahweh’s Royal Laws or to obey the voice and standards set by Yahweh of what love entails.   Satan wants you to believe you cannot stop sinning so you do not try.  As a result you continue to serve sin and by default continue to serve Satan.

When you realize that you must stop sinning by any means necessary, this becomes a game changer!  You will recognize that you must turn to Yahweh to help you overcome sin in your life!  You cannot break the chains of sin on your own!  Then the changes begin when you authorize Yahweh to break the chains of sin and the bonds to Satan so you can serve your Creator as He designed you in the Garden of Eden in His Kingdom so long ago.  You will begin to learn to overcome and conquer sin in your life day by day as the Holy Spirit teaches you and leads you into truths that the world cannot comprehend because the world does not know Yahweh. You will know Him, and He will know you.  The Holy Spirit will guide you, and you will no longer fall prey to Yahweh’s enemies.  You will know the truth and the truth will indeed set you free!

At the very start of your walk with Yahweh when you decide to reject sin and live, Satan will show up in the spiritual realm. He will try to deceive you and get you off course with Yahweh, but you will stay firm rejecting Satan with the power of the Holy Spirit of Yahweh now empowering and leading your life–this is a game changer!

Now your spiritual walk with Yahweh truly begins and your journey back to the Kingdom starts along with others that join you in your walk with Yahweh.

You will treasure Yahweh’s words in your heart so you do not sin against Him.

Ponder the words spoken by King David in Psalm 119:11 below:

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (Psalm 119:11)

Also, you ought to meditate on the wise words of Isaiah the prophet in Isaiah 51:7 below:

Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their reviling. (Isaiah 51:7)

Righteous means a person or conduct morally right or justifiable.  When you walk in a righteous manner before those that are not righteous, they will revile you: criticize in an abusive or angrily insulting manner.  Isaiah said not to fear their reproach: address (someone) in such a way as to express disapproval or disappointment or rebuke.  When you walk in a righteous manner, those who lack righteousness will attack you.  They will recognize your righteous nature, and they will perceive their unrighteous nature.  Envy will lead to them reproaching and reviling your character because sin rest in their bosom.

When you think about seeking Yahweh first (seeking the kingdom first) and Yahweh’s righteousness (obedience to the Ten Commandments spoken down the mountain by Yahweh), Satan will recognize you’re no longer under his jurisdiction and will seek to get your attention to steer you off course.  In steering you off course, this will prevent you from helping others to walking in unison and in alignment with the Commandments of Love established at creation by Yahweh the Creator of all things beautiful.

Satan will show up to try to stop you and get you to change course by attempting to deceive you.  You, however, with the power of Yahweh’s Holy Spirit teaching you all things true will detect the truth from falsehood.  This truth will set you free!  This truth sets you free from the lies of the enemy of Yahweh: Satan.  Sin is abominable to Yahweh because sin is not established in love.  Love and sin cannot theoretically coexist together. Sin in the eyes of Yahweh represent an immoral act or an act of evil/wickedness.

Love, however, abhors evil, cleave to that which is good, is not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good–see parts of Romans 12:9-21 from the Amplified Bible below:

Love is sincere and active (the real thing–without guile and hypocrisy). Love hates what is evil (detest all ungodliness, does not tolerate wickedness).  Love clings to what is good.  Love is never lagging behind in diligence.  Love is aglow in the Spirit, enthusiastically serving Yahweh.  Love is constantly rejoicing in hope (because of our confidence in Yeshua), steadfast and patient in distress, devoted in prayer (continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength).  Love contributes to the needs of Yahweh’s people, pursuing (the practice of) hospitality.  Love lives at peace with everyone.  Love overcomes evil with good.

Love and sin oppose each other as faith actively resist fear–similarly like darkness be in opposition to light.

Yahweh’s standards are high standards.  A perfect kingdom requires a clear understanding of what must take place to maintain an everlasting kingdom of peace, joy, love, righteousness and perfection throughout.   A perfect kingdom fit for Yahweh has Royal Laws.  Yahweh created the laws based upon love throughout His kingdom to maintain a loving environment filled with all things beautiful for all His creatures, which manifest His love.

Yahweh creates all things beautiful.

Study His words and get to know what your Creator commands you to do to get back under His protection and out of bondage to sin and Satan.  Choose wisely for your eternal life depends on your understanding of Yahweh’s words and promises to you.  You must study the Creator’s words to you with a sober heart and mind–stay humble so you can open yourself up to understanding true wisdom that comes from seeking Yahweh with all your heart, mind and soul–eternal life is your reward only if you choose wisely!

Don’t follow the masses, wide is the road that leads to destruction and many will follow blindly to their own demise.  Narrow is the road that leads to eternal life and few will discover this path.  You must become a leader and not a follower.  This requires you to acquire knowledge and wisdom that comes only from Yahweh!

You must choose wisely with full understanding so you do not suffer physically here on earth as well as spiritually via separation from Yahweh for all eternity.

Trust God, Even In The Tough Times, And Continue To Sow

The Book of Jeremiah Reading notes, beginning on 8/28/16

Jeremiah 1:4-5

“The word of the Lord came to me, saying:

“”Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,

Before you were born I set you apart;

I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.””

Jeremiah 29:11

“”For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.””

Personal note:   looking at the note I had on 7/28/12

I immediately remember that the Monday after my last official day as an employee at ReGreen (it was something like the first Monday of August 2012), I got an unsolicited phone call from Volt Recruiter Mike G.   He had an opportunity for me with Southern California Edison.  This was totally “out of the blue”…

…only thing is…it wasn’t “out of the blue”…. It was by the hand of Almighty God.

I knew then it was from God.  I see even more now today how it was and is from God’s hand.

Because many blessings that have come after that have flowed directly from that.

So when I got into that assignment, I shortly after came under one of the most vicious and pernicious Satanic attacks of my entire adult life…and it was directly from the workplace.  It was “holy hell” for many many months and I wondered aloud “God, why have you drawn me into this field of pain and disruption”.  At the bottom of my being, I knew God was there, but I was in a lot of struggle, frustration, anxiety and general discomfort that seemed to have no end.

I remember sitting on the hillside at the Verizon Ampitheater at the Chris Tomlin Concert in April 2013.

This was in one of the deepest valleys of the battle for me.  I wondered what God was doing…and the enemy “teased” me with memories of blindness and poor decisions I had made in the past in hopes of crushing my spirit.  BUT God was stronger and God was able to pull me through this dark time.

My mother and brother came out to visit me in May 2013.  I was filled with terrible anxiety during their entire visit.  It was comforting to see them, but on the inside I was an emotional wreck and in much pain.  The enemy continued to “tease” me with his little minions.  Yet God was there and still stronger.

I remember struggling so hard to get back on a trip to visit my family in Atlanta that July for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary.  I was in a lot of pain emotionally.  I tried as best I could to hide and put that aside for the weekend to honor my parents who had done so much for me.  This was their time to celebrate, not my time to be “poor woe is me”.

I remember, getting on the airplane to come back to California and return to my job, which was still more or less a “holy hell”.   Then, the moment I hit the ground in LA, I got a text message from my good brother and buddy in the workplace (a buddy God had put there to protect me…and I knew this), that the manager I had been working for who had caused me so much grief for so many months had taken another job and was leaving our group.  I knew at THAT VERY MOMENT that the “spell of evil” had been broken by God’s very hand.  I knew then that immediately my situation would improve….and it did improve…and very quickly, almost immediately.   I knew then that God was real and God is real and God can work miracles if we just “hold on” in the tough times and trust God.

A bit of a postscript is…referring to that manager who left.  I ended up later having several pleasant email interactions with him.  It was God’s way of healing (for both of us) and letting me know to let go of any bitterness or anger.  To love.  God commands us to love…even those who may be hurting us… as Christ first loved us.   God can handle and take care of all the hurt, anger, fear, desolation and anything else.  Also, God does it in God’s own time.

Regarding “God’s own time”…for us mortals this is absolutely one of the hardest things for us to accept and deal with.  To God 1000 years is as a day and a day is as 1000 years.  We want things to be fixed “right now!”…. “where are you God????!!!” …. “why God?”  …..”why me God????!!!”

The answer to that question is a mystery.  I don’t have the answer.  I know God does.

I also know, that taken in the abstract, anything that we have to endure in this life is, ultimately, only temporary.  Our eternal home is with our Lord in the Eternal Kingdom.   I know this is true.

Now in this life, we want nice things, happiness, joy and fulfillment.  We do not want to be abused or defeated or taken advantage of.   No one does.

Fortunately, for many of us (many who may be reading this), we do have some choices in life.

We can choose even small actions each day to make our lives and the lives of those around us just a little bit better.   As we make those small positive choices, which can lead to bigger positive choices we can find some happiness and joy.  It may not be total, complete, or long lasting…but it can give us a glimmer of hope, especially when things are really tough.

I do believe in the circle (or cycle) of virtue.

“As ye sow, so shall ye reap.”  Or otherwise stated, “what goes around comes around.”

When we sow good seeds, no matter what else is in play, we are seeding a fruit that is going to be born somewhere down the line.  We may or may not see it or know it, but I believe without a doubt it is true.

So it is good for us to sow those seeds.

Trust God, even in the tough times, and continue to sow.

Amen.

Reflections of Seneca

Seneca a Roman stoic philosopher, tutor and later advisor to emperor Nero has some keen insights into human nature that I believe would align with the teachings of Yeshua.  I cannot speak for the character and all saying of Seneca.   I am sharing some wisdom from a secular person that struck me.

All cruelty springs from weakness.

It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare; it is because we do not dare that things are difficult.

The important thing about a problem is not its solution, but the strength we gain in finding the solution.

No one can lead a happy life, or even one that is bearable, without the pursuit of wisdom, and that the perfection of wisdom is what makes the happy life, although even the beginnings of wisdom make life bearable.  Yet this conviction, clear as it is, needs to be strengthened and given deeper roots through daily reflection; making noble resolutions is not as important as keeping the resolutions you have made already.

Drunkenness is nothing but voluntary madness.

It is the characteristic of a weak and diseased mind to fear the unfamiliar.

It is only luxury and avarice that make poverty grievous to us; for it is a very small matter that does our business, and when we have provided against cold, hunger, and thirst, all the rest is but vanity and excess.

Eyes will not see when the heart wishes them to be blind.

We become wiser by adversity; prosperity destroys our appreciation of the right.

Be not too hasty either with praise or blame; speak always as though you were giving evidence before the judgement-seat of the Gods.

The primary sign of a well-ordered mind is a man’s ability to remain in one place and linger in his own company.

He is most powerful who governs himself.

Be wary of the man who urges an action in which he himself incurs no risk.

Shall I tell you what the real evil?  To cringe to the things that are called evils, to surrender to them our freedom, in defiance of which we ought to face any suffering.

We are members of one great body.  Nature planted in us a mutual love, and fitted us for a social life.  We must consider that we were born for the good of the whole.

We are mad, not only individually, but nationally.  We check manslaughter and isolated murders; but what of war and the much vaunted crime of slaughtering whole peoples?

Begin at once to live, and count each day as a separate life.

The mind is never right but when it is at peace within itself.

To err is human.  To repeat error is of the Devil.

These individuals have riches just as we say that we ‘have a fever,’ when really the fever has us.

There is nothing the wise man does reluctantly.

There is no evil that does not promise inducements.  Avarice promises money; luxury, a varied assortment of pleasures; ambition, a purple robe and applause.  Vices tempt you by the rewards they offer.

The Fates guide those who go willingly.  Those who do not, they drag.

The willing, destiny guides them; the unwilling, destiny drags them.

It’s all in your head, you have the power to make things seem hard or easy or even amusing.  The choice is yours.

What difference does it make how much you have?  What you do not have amounts to much more.

What need is there to weep over parts of life?  The whole of it calls for tears.

We should every night call ourselves to an account: What infirmity have I mastered today? What passions opposed?  What temptation resisted? What virtue acquired? Our vices will abate of themselves if they be brought every day to the shrift.

I will govern my life and thoughts as if the whole world were to see the one and read the other, for what does it signify to make anything a secret to my neighbor, when to God, who is the searcher of our hearts, all our privacies are open?

The best cure for anger is delay.

Never to wrong others takes one a long way towards peace of mind.

Nothing is more honorable than a grateful heart.

He who asks with timidity invites a refusal.

Do the best you can. . . enjoy the present. . . rest satisfied with what you have.

True friends are the whole world to one another; and he that is a friend to himself is also a friend to mankind.  Even in my studies the greatest delight I take is of imparting it to others; for there is no relish to me in the possessing of anything without a partner.

Money does all things for reward.  Some are pious and honest as long as they thrive upon it, but if the devil himself gives better wages, they soon change their party.

Study rather to fill your mind than your coffers; knowing that gold and silver were originally mingles with dirt, until avarice or ambition parted them.

In every good man a God doth dwell.

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful.

When I think over what I have said, I envy dumb people.

The bad fortune of the good turn their faces  up to heaven; the good fortune of the bad bows their heads down to the earth.

Night brings our troubles to the light, rather than banishes them.

Everywhere is nowhere.  When a person spends all his time in foreign travel, he ends by having many acquaintances, but no friends.

He who is brave is free.

He who dreads hostility too much is unfit to rule.

Ignorant people see life as either existence or non-existence, but wise men see it beyond both existence and non-existence to something that transcends them both; this is an observation of  the Middle Way.

You want to live-but do you know how to live?  You are scared of dying-and, tell me, is the kind of life you lead really any different from being dead?

As the mother’s womb holds us for ten months, making us ready, not for the womb itself, but for life, just so, though our lives, we are making ourselves ready for another birth…Therefore look forward without fear to that appointed hour- the last hour of the body, but not of the soul…That day, which you fear as being the end of all things, is the birthday of your eternity.

Thank You Heavenly Father!

Good and bad will pull at you, but when God wants you to do something HE will get your attention!

One night a few days back my sister and I spoke on the phone as we usually do when I remembered a very significant time in my life – 2005. The week of June 18th, 2005 to be exact. God gave a message to a complete stranger to confirm what He had already put on my heart to do!

A few years before, my sister joined a church that I periodically attended. After a couple of years, she decided to get baptized in the summer of 2003. After witnessing how God worked in her life, several family members decided to get baptized: Our Dad, brother, myself, as well as I decided to dedicate my son to God. We started our six week Bible study to prepare for baptism at the end of April or early May. Our pastor wanted to ensure we understood fundamental things in the Bible and that life wouldn’t magically get easier. God will allow us to be tested.

We finished our six week Bible study and looked forward to my son’s dedication to God on June 18th, 2005.  Then my dad, brother, and I would be baptized the following Sabbath. A week before my son’s dedication, my husband said lets find our own church. We can go to a few churches, see which one feels right for us, and then get our son dedicated. I was completely shocked! This was coming from my husband who believes in God but doesn’t practice his religion. He never attended church as an adult.  He always declined my offer to go with me because I worship on Saturday. I told him “NO, I’m not going to cancel our son’s dedication! I feel like this is what God wants me to do.”  Everyday that week before the dedication my husband asked me “Are you sure? We can find another church if you just wait.” He even called me at work saying he felt like I was “just doing what I wanted to do and didn’t care what he wanted for our son.”

At this point I felt torn between obeying God’s words to me and my husband’s words to me. I wanted my husband to feel what I felt: that the dedication of our six year old son to God would become the best thing we as parents can do for our child. When I left work that day, I felt overwhelmed and drained.  I found myself fighting a battle, but I felt unequipped to fight!

On my way home my best friend Crystal called and asked me if I could take her by her church and drop her home. When we arrived at her church, Crystal’s aunt was in the parking lot with a friend of hers. We said hi and spoke for a moment before we went inside to printout some papers. On our way out, the lady with Crystal’s aunt stopped me.  She said she felt afraid to tell me when I first arrived, but she knew she couldn’t let me leave without speaking what God put on her heart to say.  she said, “Whatever you are planning to do, do it.” She didn’t know what but whatever it was God wanted me to follow through. “Don’t let anyone change your decision.” I stood there absolutely shocked! She went on to say “don’t worry about fitting in or if people who may not even know you don’t like you. Their evil spirit makes it impossible for them to like you.”

My flesh felt confused like how would this person know such a thing. Then instantly I felt overcome with love and amazement! God would use a complete stranger to get my attention. He instantly confirmed what He already put on my heart to help me from wavering from the path He designed for my son. I couldn’t help but to cry with joy. The lady gave me such a comforting hug. When I told her what I was struggling with, she was in awe! Our faith grew even stronger that day!

When I got home I spoke with my husband and told him what happened. I couldn’t perceive for sure if he completely believed me, but he didn’t question our son’s dedication anymore. That Saturday, June 18th, 2005 we woke up and went to the church as a family. We stood before God giving Him charge over our son’s life and asking for His guidance and protection each and every day.

Looking back over this experience, I realize how blessed I am. That God would get my attention in the midst of all the chaos! Letting me know that what’s on my heart came from HIM! Thank you, thank you, thank you heavenly Father for your love!

If God Was With Me, What Would He Say To Me?

This is what the LORD says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears.  I WILL HEAL YOU.  2 Kings 20:5

Most times pain and suffering becomes the catalyst for healing.  When God approaches, He will ask you the following: “Do you want to become well?”  Your ability to trust God will determine your healing.

For a paralytic man at the pool of Bethesda healing came at the crucial age of 38.

There was a certain man there who had suffered with a deep-seated and lingering disorder for thirty-eight years.

When Jesus noticed him lying there [helpless], knowing that he had already been a long time in that condition, He said to him, Do you want to become well? [Are you really in earnest about getting well?]  John 5:5-6 (Amplified Bible)

To get well, you need to really desire earnestly to flee sin and obey God at all cost.  He will not clean you up from a life of sin until you give Him permission (to break the shackles of sin from your life).

In John 5:7, ‘The sick man answered and said: “Oh, my lord, there is no one to put me in the baptismal when the waters are moved, but while I am coming, another goes down before me.”

Most times people tell God why they cannot break sin in their lives rather than asking God to help them break the shackles of sin causing their suffering.  God can do anything we ask Him, we just need to ask the right things of God.

God does not want to hear our excuses.  He wants to know if we want to get well.  When God speaks in our hearts, we must do what He commands to receive healing.

Our Creator created us to walk in LOVE; however, sin caused us to walk in selfishness.  To break the curse of sin, we must reject our old lifestyle and determine to walk in God’s will of LOVE.

So Yeshua through his words hear the cry of his heart, commands him to get up, to pick up his bed and to walk in John 5:8-9.  He will risk stoning and death for breaking the Sabbath by carrying his bed in obedience to God.

Yeshua said to him: “Get up! Pick up your bed and walk.  “And immediately that man was healed, and he stood up, took his bed, and he walked, and it was the Sabbath day.”

What God ask of us to attain healing will not come easily initially for each person.  Nevertheless, each of us must obey God to become healed.  Sin paralyzes us to a life of selfishness, suffering and ultimately death away from our Creator.

Sin at first appears enticing and appears to offer the foolish opportunities beyond their wildest imagination until the fool realizes they’ve been hoodwinked, find themselves addicted to sin, a life of pain, a life of suffering and a life that leads to eternal damnation away from God: their Creator.

What are you willing to give up or risk losing to follow God?  You should already know.  You must give up sin: lawlessness.

According to Matthew Henry Commentary we must “be careful, that we let not a season slip which may never return….What a joyful surprise to the poor cripple, to find himself of a sudden so easy, so strong, so able to help himself! The proof of spiritual cure, is our rising and walking.  Has Christ healed our spiritual diseases, let us go wherever he sends us, and take up whatever he lays upon us; and walk before him.”.

To operate in your healing, you must do what God commands you to do.  The man believed in Yeshua and acted.  Thus, he received instant healing.
