Two Paths

There are two paths in this life.  You walk presently on one or the other.  Matthew explains these two paths in the following ways found below:

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.  (Matthew 7:13-14)

1) the straight and narrow path (representing the tree of life in the Garden of Eden) or

2) the wide path (representing the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden).

And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; 1) the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the 2) tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Genesis 2:9)

And the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree of the garden, (Genesis 2:16)

But of the 2) tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. (Genesis 2:17)

Yahweh affords us an opportunity to right the wrongs through Jesus Christ.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)

The first path leads back to the kingdom of God.  An eternal place of perfect beauty without any imperfection present anywhere. A place where streets are built of pure gold and trees sing by clapping their leaves.  A place bursting with beauty, life and joy.  A world that makes our world the shadow of the real thing.  This kingdom is perfectly perfect run by the God of the universe and creator of everything lovely and true!  It’s a spiritual world with spiritual beings in spirit bodies designed to live for eternity.

And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. (Revelation 21:21)

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. (Isaiah 55:12)

The second one, deadly and extremely popular,  leads to destruction by fire. The people believe in liberty from the laws of God and the ability to be God’s themselves.  They define the rules for their lives.  They possess a false form of freedom (freedom to sin and accept sin without feeling convicted of wrong doing against God).  This false freedom keeps them locked out the kingdom of Yahweh and enslaved to sin (Satan).  They do not try to escape because they like the way they live.  They are comfortable with their sin.  The irony of this lifestyle is that they don’t know what true freedom is in Christ and so they continue to believe their free when in fact they are trapped in a destructive and painful lifestyle living in bondage to sin (Satan rules them).

Sinners who refuse to accept and obey God’s commandments (rules of love towards God and one’s neighbor) will ultimately experience this deadly fire. This consuming fire from Yahweh will eventually annihilate those who love iniquity and refuse to change from their evil ways. Their eternal spirit bodies God will destroy.

Sin builds barriers between us and God and between us and others.  We can go back to the kingdom of God if we choose to eliminate sin by asking God to help us.  We need to return back to our creator who loves and made a way for us through Jesus Christ death on Calvary to return to Him and receive the free gift of eternal life.  We, however, need to choose between our love for God and our love for sin. Sin separates us from living eternally in paradise with our creator.

Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. (Isaiah 59:1-2)

There are two paths in this life.  You walk presently on one or the other.  If you have not found your way onto to the straight and narrow path by keeping God’s basic laws of love, I hope you will make the decision to choose to do so now!  The Holy Spirit will help you if you pray to God to remove sin out of you.  There is nothing impossible with God.  God loves you.  He is offering you the free gift of eternal life if you choose Him over a life of sin.
