Why do so many christians struggle? A friend struggles to find work. She goes to church weekly and gives money to her church. She knows Yeshua loves her, but she cannot seem to break free of her financial distress.
Another friend made some wrong choices that led her down a path of domestic violence with a husband that refuses to support the family. He a drunkard makes living her life impossible to bare. The husband slowly kills himself and every one around him. He wants a better life for himself I would like to hope, but he is too depressed and drunk most days.
Some friends of mine owe about $60,000 to $80,000 each for a masters degree to advance their education. Money for the mortgage or rent and other expenses makes living a financial nightmare without faith and hope in Yahweh.
Why do so many struggle both christians and non christians alike? Where is God in all this the christians may wonder? Others trust God stepping out in faith feeling led by Yahweh.
Sometimes we wonder where is God when we face challenges? Does God really see, hear and care about us?
The truth is we may know of God and the ways of God via the word of God in the Bible. When we feel distant from Yahweh when we face challenges, perhaps this may really or partly reflect that we do not have a relationship or strong enough of a relationship with God.
A friend facing deep challenges said I know that God cares about me. Something in her made me realize that knowing God cares just isn’t enough when a person faces profound troubles. It may be a start, but we need more faith that God can do what He says He can do to calm the inner and outer storms in our lives.
The problem I see facing most of God’s children is they have a head knowledge of God, but many appear to lack a personal relationship with God. When the storms hit their lives, their very foundation appears shaken. The Bible says the righteous will not be moved or forsaken. They are moved and shaken by the tragic things occurring in their lives, but the storms won’t hopefully bring them crashing down. They will withstand theses trying times with faith in Yahweh.
When Yeshua hung and His flesh body died on that stake at Calvary, He appeared forsaken by Yahweh. The Bible says His Spirit went to preach to those in prison from the days of Noah.
Yahweh knows what He is doing. Sometimes He sets us up through tough circumstances mainly because of poor choices. We may cry out to Him with our troubles. Thus, we may learn to acknowledge and change from our sinful lifestyles that got us into the mess in the first place.
The next time you face unsurmountable challenges that make you feel troubled from all sides, remember Yeshua hanging on the cross paying your sin penalty. You must get on your knees and cry out for Yahweh to help you. You must look at your life and ask Yahweh to forgive you of all your sins and turn away from sin. You should now begin to walk in newness of life with Yeshua and the power of the Holy Spirit living in you. Ask Yeshua to strengthen you to overcome whatever sins and struggles you may face. Yeshua will help you to overcome your sin problem with the help of the Spirit of Yahweh living in you.
When we sincerely seek Yahweh in our day of need, He will see, hear and answer. We must wait expectantly knowing that Yeshua cares for us. He will help us through our pain until He sets us back on a calm, straight and narrow path with Him. He will guide you when you cannot see to make right choices for yourself if you depend soley and one hundred percent on Him.
I’ve experienced this with Yeshua so I can tell you that this is how our God operates with His children. He will not step in and ease your pain or alter the course of your life until you give your life completely over to Him. As a young and immature christian, I made mistakes that kept me out of Yeshua’s plan for my life. Sometimes one wrong step in the wrong direction after many years leads you out of sight of the path of Yeshua’s plan for your life.
Now this doesn’t mean Yeshua does not love you or that He is not with you. He promised to never leave us or forsake us. When we feel lost, we are usually lost from Yeshua. We cannot see Him. We don’t know what to do. He is waiting for us to commit our lives completely to Him. The storms in our life let us know we need to draw closer to Yeshua and depend on Him.
Matthew 6:33 – “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
You must trust His words and apply them to your life. You must believe His words to apply them.
We serve a good, good Father who holds us up when we cannot hold ourselves up. We trust in Him by believing in His words to us. You ought to go to God believing He hears you.
Psalm 118:1 -“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
Think back on all the wonderful things God has done for you. Reflect often on God’s goodness. Make time to talk to God and to listen to God while thanking Him.
Psalm 118:1 -“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
Pray continually and you will discover God is right there with you. God never leaves us nor forsakes us. He is closer than you realize. Remember God’s faithfulness to others in the Bible to strengthen your faith and trust in Him.
In the meanwhile continue to pray and wait on Yeshua. Yeshua will work all things out for your good when you trust and believe in Him by believing in His words to us.

Finally, God sees us with His eyes and His ears are open unto our prayers. God allows us to struggle. He has a message for us. If we would cry out for help to him and reject sin, he will hear us and answer. The struggles will subside. You will discover that Yahweh never left you, and He protects you in the storms of life. We serve a very good Father who always holds us up when we trust and depend completely and solely on Him and not on ourselves.
