Trusting in The Living God

Should we seek strength from Western Nations (Rich nations), etc. or trust the Living God? Should we chase after the American dream or should we chase after Elohim: Yahweh? In whom do you trust? In what God do you trust?

Trusting in God for Strength

The prophet Isaiah writes in Isaiah 27:5  the following: Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

Step 1:  “let Him take hold of my strength.”

Step 2: “that He may make peace with me.”

Step 3: “He shall make peace with me.”

God promises that when we follow through on steps one and two that step three will become fulfilled: we shall make peace with God. This piece brings joy, rest, quietness within, confidence and strength.

Trusting in God to Save Us

For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength; and you would not.  (Isaiah 30:6)

Let’s not God Almighty say to us that we refused to listen.  Let’s listen to Elohim and find everlasting joy.

Trusting in The World’s Knowledge Versus Trusting God’s Word

The ways of this world are like a shadow; it’s not real…nor does it last…it will all come down in destruction. So we need to wake up from our slumber. Let’s study for ourselves and learn the truth: what God says to us. Do not repeat history and make the same mistakes of our fore-parents. That’s the enemy’s (Satan’s) trap.

The Holy Bible is our book of our history with our God. We need to look to the books God gave us written by His prophets like Isaiah inspired by God Himself.  Let us look to God’s words below (and see our story in our fore-parents lives–let us wake up and not repeat their errors.)

Trust in God and Let His Spirit Cover You Versus The Spirit of Satan

“Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:” (Isaiah 30:1)

God continues, “That walk to go down into Egypt (Chicago, New York, Los Angeles for example today) and have not asked at my mouth (did not seek God’s face to help them make their decisions); to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh (rather than in God), and to trust in the shadow of Egypt (illusions of America and Western nations that’s fleeting..won’t last)! Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh (our leaders today) be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt (Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Washington D.C.) your confusion.” (Isaiah 30:2-3)

You Carry Riches to A People That Do Not Profit You And Reject God

In Isaiah 30:6-11 God says,

“…The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit them” (has the Western nations profited the Africans in Africa/Eden or Black African-American in America or others in lands far away?)

People Refuse to Hear The Laws Of  God and Choose to Trust The God of This World

In Isaiah 30:7, 9-13, 15 the prophet Isaiah continues to warn God’s people:

For the Egyptians (Western nations) shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, …That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:  Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophecy deceitsGet you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye (you) despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant… For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye (you) be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye (you) would not.

Dr. Cain Hope Felder give insight in The Original African Heritage Bible below:

Smooth Deceits–Prophetic writings distinctly parallel what is happening with African/Edenic people today. ‘For the Egyptians shall help in vain’ (v.7). Whether referring to Egyptians then or Western societies today, all of their supposed efforts for Africa’s upliftment and development have been in vain, or deceitfully implemented to exploit Africa’s resources and to oppress Africa’s people.  As the African/Edenic Hebrew Israelites fell further from God they continually sought to hide themselves from having to face the absolute truth of their responsibility to their God and the creation.  Thus they cried unto “the seers, see not; and to the prophets, prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits” (v.10) They were willing to hear lies to maintain their quest for pleasure, materialism, sex, and all elements contrary to the laws of God…Africa/Edenic people [including us today] wanted a deliverer to guide them to a better life in Egypt (America)…They had helped to build the treasure cities of Egypt (Chicago, Los Angeles, New York), and strongly felt that they had a right to enjoy a very modern and advanced Egyptian society after shedding their blood, sweat, and tears.30:7-14” [The Original African Heritage Study Bible, King James Version, 2007, Judson Press Publishers, p.1033, bottom of page 1032]

God had Moses to lead His people the Israelites enslaved for four hundred years out of Egypt (slavery).  We must look away from this world and turn to God to lead us out of bondage to sin and slavery.

God Will Return Soon…Will He Find You Trusting In Him The Living God?

God says in that great day when He returns, “that the great trumpet (the sound of war) shall be blown, and they (God’s children) shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria (America, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, or other places in our world), and the outcast (African-Americans, Blacks, Africans, other ethnic groups) in the land of Egypt (Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, etc…), and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount of Jerusalem. [The Original African Heritage Study Bible, King James Version, 2007, Judson Press Publishers, p.1033, bottom of page 1032]

God is offering each of us a way of escape if we will only listen and heed His voice. God is bigger than our problems and can solve them if we take our concerns to Him–by trusting in the Living God!

  • If you trust in the Living God, how would your life change?
  • How would your life look?
