Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

  1. This is a very good essay. We live in a broken world, but there is still beauty in it because it is still God’s world and God’s creation even though we have to contend with the forces of darkness and evil in the temporal time. God always loves us and wants what is right and good. We can trust God even when circumstances do not favor us. We can remember that we are passing through this world, which God had intended originally as something more wonderful, but now has been corrupted, yet still maintains the sure markings of His Divine design. We can take the best from it, try to do our best and know that our eternal condition is beyond. We have to live while we are hear and endeavor to serve the best we can. Serve God by serving others. Be kind to others….even, and as much as possible when others may not be kind to others. In so doing we bring into this temporal space some of what God had intended originally and reflect, even dimly God’s true character. God is Love.

I bookmarked it to my bookmark webpage list and will be checking back in the near future.

  6. Hi Sis!
I just want to thank you again for going shopping with me. We picked up some awesome toys! I distributed them. The kids lit up when I gave them the toys! If it was not for you, they would not have gotten such great gifts!

I just want to remind you of the songs that God gave to me when I prayed in the car with you. Remember, I prayed about God giving me direction in terms of my future decisions and choices that lie ahead. The prayer was really meant for the both of us, but somehow in my heart the prayer I prayed to God was really for you. I asked God to give me two songs regarding these questions about what I should do regarding my future decisions. I had the land by the sea in mine with you helping me with this property, your next steps as well as my next steps in the future doing God’s will for our lives.

God answered my prayers when I asked for guidance. I asked for Him to give me two songs that would address my concerns for really the both of us. I wanted to show you how God works in my life to strengthen you through these challenging days ahead. You know I turned on the radio to Air 1 on 92.7 FM. The next two songs that came on were the answers to my prayers that we both needed. I want you to never forget how God heard my prayer and stepped in with a message for the both of us that night after shopping and eating out. We experienced an awesome moment that night on our way home knowing God both heard and answered my prayer! The first song that played by Shane Harper titled Hold You Up and the second by Chris Tomlin titled Good Good Father were truly answers to my prayer! Never ever forget how God hears and answers prayers! This is another testimony of God’s goodness I never want you to forget!

I’m always here for you! You know your car and insurance I will pay for until you get another job. You will always have a roof over your head and food on the table! I’m your big sister. I love you and God loves you even more! God bless you in your walk and journey back to the kingdom of God! Know you have a good good Father and He will hold you up!

  7. My Sista,
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you my dear sister! I love you so very much. I don’t know where I would be without you. From the very beginning you have always encouraged me to be the best me I can be! You helped me to trust God through your unwavering faith and belief in Christ. Over the years you’ve believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. And I know during my darkest moments when I tuned God out He spoke through you to touch me and let me know that He is right there with me. So I thank you for being the wonderful woman of faith that you are! For all of your kindness, your prayers, your time, all of your support, and for being such an amazing sista!

I was truly grateful for your prayer as we drove home the other day. Asking God to give us two songs was amazing. There was no doubt in your mind that God wasn’t going to answer your prayer immediately! And as many times as you’ve told me about praying to God to give you a song, that was the first time that I truly experienced it with you in a time that I so desperately needed it! The two songs that came on, Hold You Up and Good Good Father I have never heard before and I needed the words to truly take in what God was telling us. It wasn’t until I got home and played the two songs over and over that it really touched me. It just brought a sense of peace over me knowing that I don’t have to worry that God is with me. The one that brought me here will hold me up. And to have a praise song reminding me that we do have a GOOD GOOD FATHER! He loves us and its because of who we are: children of God!!! I thank you for giving me that experience! It helped me to see that its our faith that is the key! God is always there wanting us to connect with him but our faith is what limits us.

I pray that God gives me the words to express how grateful and blessed I am to have you as my sister. I see your light touch not only me but everyone that comes in contact with you. It’s truly amazing to see God’s vessel in action! I hope that God allows me to be a blessing to you the way you have been a true blessing to me and so many!

I love you my dear sista. May God always keep you in the palm of His hands and allow your light to shine forever!

  8. It’s not my first time to pay a visit this web page,
I am visiting this site daily and get good data from here daily.

  9. Never forget we serve an awesome God who loves us more than you can ever imagine!!! Our faith in God makes a huge difference in our relationship with the Father! Our faith allows us to seek His face. Our faith in God pleases God. Without faith it is impossible
    to please God!

  10. Great post! It really confirmed for me that God wants 100% from us. He wants us to give our best and put Him 1st on our list of priorities. How can we ask God to bless us with His best but we aren’t willing to do our best to trust Him and keep His commandments.

Two things came to mind after reading this:
    1. My dad tells me all the time that God doesn’t want us to be luke warm.
    2. My brother says you can’t expect to look & feel like a million bucks shopping from the dollar menu.
God wants quality. He doesn’t want your love and trust 25% of the time or only when things are good but all of it all of the time no matter what the situation. Just like you can’t expect to look and feel great by feeding your body empty calories. God doesn’t want empty prayers or your empty promises. He wants our best. He wants us to be hot not luke warm!

So thank you for confirming that for me. Your message really help me to see what I need of do to get closer to God. Thank you for all that you are doing to share God’s word with the world. May your mansion in heaven be as beautiful and as big as your heart. Thank you for caring!!!

    1. Thanks Lillian for your thoughtful words! You’re welcome. You’re thoughts remind me that we always see the shortcomings in others when it comes to relating to God. Sometimes we need to take a closer look at ourselves! We need to scrutinize our lives and make sure we give God our very best!

  11. Hi, I do believe this is an excellent web site.
I stumbled upon it 😉 I will revisit yet again since I book marked
it. Money and freedom is the best way to change, may you be rich and continue
    to guide other people.

    1. Thanks Will! I truly appreciate your words. Money and freedom does allow us to change. I’ve discovered change that grants true riches and true freedom comes from a relationship in knowing Christ. I am rich in Christ and will continue to strive to do God’s will in my life. God bless you with the keys to the Heavenly Kingdom!

  12. What a wonderful reminder of how much God loves us and wants to be in relationship with us.
The “good part” is sitting at Jesus’ feet to understand the wisdom He offers and soak in His love.
All the “running around” in the world…for whatever reason…is no substitute.
When we spend focused time with Jesus then whatever “running around” we must do…or choose to do…
becomes more purposeful and, ultimately, yields a result that is more pleasing to God.
In this God may give us greater peace and satisfaction.
Thank you (author) again for sharing again this powerful illustration of how God wants us to relate to Him.
It is there in the Bible for a reason and it’s message is timeless.

    1. DWK, I’ve discovered God wants to reestablish a relationship with us more than anything else. He is waiting on us to take the time to settle down to connect with Him. It’s a challenging task in this fast pace world of ours, but it’s very doable We must intentionally think about connecting with God each day at the start of our day.

  13. You truly hit the nail on the head with this article! Sometimes we feel the more things we can check off on our to-do-list the less stress we will feel. But in most cases the more things we start checking off the longer the list becomes. Until we stop & reconnect with God the devil will continue to find things for us to do just to distract us from what really matters. It takes time to find that balance. I am definitely a work in progress. Thanks for sharing 🙂

    1. Lillian you’re so right! Satan creates distractions to stress us out while keeping us busy. We become like a rat on a wheel running going nowhere fast. To slow myself down so that I am focused on the right priorities each day, I try to start my day by getting into God’s word and praying. Sometimes I am up between 3 am to 5 am. When I do, I find that my days head in a great direction. I feel peaceful. I may even go for a quick run and talk to God before I get ready for work. I try to listen to what God has to say to me before I head out into my day. It truly makes a difference.

  14. Reblogged this on Guiding God's People and commented:

I revised this blog today. A tangerine taught me a valuable lesson one afternoon after getting home from work. God spoke to my spirit through this experience and taught me that challenges are for our good. It is sort of like lifting weights or exercising. You go through the pain and stress because you know the struggles make you more powerful and better in the end.

If you need a bit of encouragement, this is a great article to read. This story is about how God uses challenges and even the negative things resulting from sin to strengthen us. This ought to help you walk in greater peace in the midst of the storms or fires blazing in your life.

  15. So true! Many people are missing out on this wonderful relationship with God. Why? They refuse to believe and trust His words to us. Who buys a television and throws out the television manual stating it is not valid. Or which one of you would look at a computer and imagine for half a second it created itself. It’s like looking yourself in the mirror and saying what a marvelous creature you are and thinking you just created yourself somehow without a creator.

Anyhow mature christians empowered by God’s Holy Spirit operating through them helps to strengthen less mature christians attempting to learn to walk and trust in God without giving up–when the trials and tribulations of life hit.

Satan is real and when you come to know your enemy, you can begin to fight back and win. Know your enemy! You’re not fighting against flesh and blood, but you are fighting against spiritual powers out to keep you living in sin and suffering under their control. They prefer to remain out of sight and out of mind. Know your enemy!

Better yet learn to trust and depend on God who knows your enemy and can protect you against what you cannot see or comprehend! Those who truly experience God at work in their lives like yourself, understand that the spiritual dimension is real. Yahweh our God does indeed manifest Himself to us.

We don’t have to wonder if He is real or not because we know Him. That’s the beauty of having God on your side. You can turn to Him and know He not only hears you, but you listen to Him when He speaks. You learn to recognize His voice. You come to know Him better. Thus, you can possess peace in the storms of your life. You learn to speak to your storms and quiet them like Christ calmed the storms for the disciples on the sea.

You grow into the character of Christ by obedience to His words. When you listen to Him, you discover He protects you from danger and blesses your life.

    The results are real–very tangible.

Others see God working in you as well. Others see the difference in your life and recognize the hands of God upon you!

Keep up the walk with the Lord and continue to depend on Him for you know now without a shadow of a doubt that He cares for you!

He will lift you up when you fall and brush you off. He will lead you into your actual home: the kingdom of God! This place is really not your home. When you look up and see the Milky Way Galaxy in the dark sky in the middle of nowhere, you know you worship an amazing God and He your Father loves you more than you will ever truly understand. I am always awed at the amazing wonder of God’s creation when I look up into the night sky far from any city lights.

I hope others who want to know this wonderful Creator will say this simple prayer below:

Father God I am sorry from turning away from you and sinning against you. I repent of all my sins and am very sorry for sinning against you. I do not know you, but I would like to know you. Please reveal yourself to me and help me to live a life free from sin. Help me to lead a life pleasing to you. I surrender my life to you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Pray this prayer on your knees or sitting wherever you are and watch God step in and mold you into the person He designed you to be. Trust me, God is very real! Your life will never be the same again! You will come to have a peace and joy that surpasses all understanding. God will reveal Himself to you and you will develop a relationship with Him. The true worshippers worship God in spirit and in truth. May God richly bless you with the keys to the Kingdom of the Living God! God loves you so go in peace!

  16. This is such an insightful article! Thank you. God wants to heal us. He wants us to be well and victorious. The path we trod may not always be an easy one…but we can live free, live healthy, live in victory if we bend our will to God’s plan for our lives!

  17. Thanks Wes, your perspective is certainly true. I appreciate the fact that you emphasize that we ought to continue to serve others and do good in spite of the fact that Satan runs this world. God is still in control. When we as Christians do good in the face of wickedness and serve those in this world, we truly establish the kingdom of God here on Earth. When God’s Holy Spirit moves through us, His kingdom comes upon those we encounter. They in fact can taste a bit of the goodness of God through us.

Although Satan rules this part of God’s kingdom, we can fight back with love and spread God’s kingdom of light amidst the darkness so others can see God’s character of love and seek Him. They can flock to the light and the truth to attain freedom from a darkened world overcome by sin, suffering and death.

We should be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Yes, God is indeed LOVE!

Ezekiel 12:2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.

heb c3/12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; 15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, *harden not your hearts,* as in the provocation. 16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. 17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that*** believed not? *** 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of*** unbelief. ***

This being said is an understatement as there are no words that can truly describe how it was. Indeed, the feeling of just being there was emphasized to me with pure bliss and love and no pain or suffering of which emanated my whole spirit. We were all loving and kind to one another without hatred. God truly gave me the sense that love was the most important of all in order to become truly happy…

    1. AdvisorsGuidance I appreciate your thoughts very much! It’s rare to find someone who comprehends what I experienced in my dream of heaven–thanks for sharing! Your words ring so true! Words truly can never describe a place beyond perfection and beauty pictured within our limited minds! I just remember my jaws dropping at the wondrous and exquisite beauty all around me! I cannot wait to see and experience heaven again! I no longer fear death if I ever truly did! I know there is a place far greater than this place we reside in. A place we should all long to know, see and experience. Yes love, joy and peace emanates throughout heaven. Pain, suffering and fear does not exist. Love reigns supreme! Love permeated throughout everything with a sense of joy and wonder! For me I believe God gave me the dream to take a way my sadness following the sudden and unexpected death of someone close to me. God cares for us and loves us more than we will ever truly know here on this Earth of ours! God is truly real! You will find Him when you search for Him with all your heart! You will never be the same once you encounter the King of all Kings! He will teach you and guide you into your eternal home: a place of love, peace, perfect beauty and astounding joy! 23. I like what John 3:2 says. “Beloved, now are we the sons of God…we shall be like him.” We need to think and meditate on these words of Yeshua: “Beloved, now are we the sons of God…” Thanks for sharing your comments!

  24. Amazing article! A so needed reminder that everyone here on earth is not a child of God. That the wheat and the tares must grow together in the field of this earth until Yeshua returns. And I love how you clarify who the wheat are: those who are producing fruit because they can hear God’s words. They are blessed and are a blessing to others. Amen!

I hear so many preachers today speaking of Gods love and grace but never about if you break God’s commandments you will burn. I know that it is hard to hear for many because we’ve been taught that GOD is a merciful God but HE is our father! And as a parent you reward the good and punish the bad. And I don’t want to burn! I want to return to our father and live for eternity!

I noticed you spoke about this PRESENT world. I believe that we existed before with God in heaven in our spirit form. That due to our sins we are here on earth to learn to hate sin! Once Yeshua returns the wheat will return to heaven.

Throughout all of your readings, what is your take on the past, present and future worlds?

Thanks for your wonderful articles. May God continue to bless you so you can continue to be a blessing to many.

  38. This article contains many nuggets of wisdom that suggest further Bible study for the interested and inquisitive student. It is good to seek out these abiding truths that edify, encourage and strengthen one’s faith. Thank you!

  39. Great message! Love how you expressed your passion for sharing Gods words. The must powerful part to me is when you realized that the church’s message didn’t match your understandings of God’s words so you watched what you said. However, when you allowed the holy spirit to use you their is no filtering the true!

I love your picture! It reminds us that God is all around us. That by ourselves we are small but with holy spirit living inside of us we are great 🙌🏽

    1. Thanks for sharing Joyce. Your words encourage me to share God’s truth. I like to get comments from my readers–thanks and please share. I particularly appreciated your insight on the picture.

  40. This is a very persuasive article. The Lord struck the Apostle Paul (then Saul) like a lightning bolt out of the sky and turned him 180degrees from a persecutor of the faithful to an apostle. He can do this to anyone…and yet His process for each individual is different. For some it is a dramatic transformation. For some it is a growth over time. We need to always be seeking His face and seeking what He has for each of us. When we seek Him, He promises He will be found by us. 2 Chronicles 15:4. Amen

  41. Wes thank you. I thought these other verses were worthy of mention with some added thoughts to reflect upon–Pastor Seth talk on Saturday helped me to better understand the danger of the stress response better known in psychology as the “fight-or-flight response”.

The Spirit of God Comes On Azariah

15 Then the Spirit of God came upon Azariah son of Oded, 2 and he went out to meet King Asa as he was returning from the battle. “Listen to me, Asa!” he shouted. “Listen, all you people of Judah and Benjamin! The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you. 3 For a long time Israel was without the true God, without a priest to teach them, and without the Law to instruct them. 4 But whenever they were in trouble and turned to the Lord, the God of Israel, and sought him out, they found him.

5 “During those dark times, it was not safe to travel. Problems troubled the people of every land. 6 Nation fought against nation, and city against city, for God was troubling them with every kind of problem. 7 But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded.”

8 When Asa heard this message from Azariah the prophet, he took courage and removed all the detestable idols from the land of Judah and Benjamin and in the towns he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. And he repaired the altar of the Lord, which stood in front of the entry room of the Lord’s Temple.

9 Then Asa called together all the people of Judah and Benjamin, along with the people of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had settled among them. For many from Israel had moved to Judah during Asa’s reign when they saw that the Lord his God was with him. (2 Chronicles 15:1-9)

If you were to read this story in it’s entirety, you will discover that under pressure Asa instead of looking to God looked to his own way to resolve his problems. Thus he fell. He decided to strategize and fight without input from God if you read further in the story.

This is analogous to Elijah that had a relationship with God and performed miracles after miracles by and through the power of the Almighty God. When under pressure Elijah took to flight.

Read the story of Elijah. It’s simply amazing how this man of God brought down fire and killed the prophets of Baal yet at the threat of the woman Jezebel, he took flight wishing to die.

“And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.

2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.

3 And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. (1 Kings 1-3)

Jezebel sent the entire military army after Elijah to destroy his life.

This let’s me know that when we become stressed, we should slow down and look to God. He is our source of safety in a sinful world. We should not let our physical body rule us and the direct the course of our actions.

Asa in panic strategized to fight and Elijah to flight.

These men did not look to God under duress and suffered as a result. We will suffer too under circumstances in this life if we do not look first to God for help. They could have continued to attain victory if they had only slowed down and looked for guidance from God.

So when you want to fight or take flight, stop, slow down and look to God for guidance. He will give you the victory when we put our trust in Him.

We are not to operate in fear, but we must learn to walk by faith trusting in God. This faith starts as small as a mustard seed and grows into the faith of Christ.

Be still and know that He is God. Slow down and walk with God. With God by your side, you will attain the victory each and every time. Do not run ahead of God and do not fight if He does not ask you to fight. Learn to wait, walk and stay by God’s side.

Remember, “…The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.” (2 Chronicles 15:2)
