Learn From the Past, Live in the Present, Work Toward the Future

CIMG0664

Learn to accept things you cannot change in the immediate present.

Understand that in any situation you do have choices.

Those choices start in your mind.  No one, no matter what the physical circumstance may be that you encounter can control the thoughts that rest in your mind.   In the mind is where the seeds of action are planted and begin to grow.  We must feed our minds constantly with positive reinforcement.

It is always helpful when we can find external sources of encouragement, but I have found over the course of my 48+ years that there will be times when external sources are unavailable/non-existent.

When we have our world view rooted in the belief and confidence in a higher power (Almighty God) and a trust that God is good (my experience confirms this in my own life), then we can continue to push ahead even when external  factors in our immediate world circumstance seem set against us.

When we push against these circumstances and continue to endure we actually get STRONGER and more capable as a result.  Like lifting weights…when we push against resistance, it strengthens us in many areas.

The journey of life is a long one for most of us…hopefully…even in this temporal existence on planet Earth.

When I was 15 I thought I had knowledge, but later I realized how limited that knowledge was.

At 25 I reflected back.  Then at 35 I reflected back on 25.  Then at 45 I reflected back on 35 and so on.

No matter how intelligent we may be with the natural gifts God has given us, there are some levels of wisdom that only come with time and experience.

As we gain this experience to the extent we are able, we need to try and pass the experience “back down the line” to those coming up behind us.  If we have trust with those coming along behind us and a medium for sharing and reflection, then greater benefit can flow.   A younger person can sometimes benefit from the vision of the older person and have better vision on where to go…sort of like seeing into the future without actually being there yet.

Also, it is good, when young, to dream, visualize and plan for the future.  Having a plan and visualizing a direction for life is always a good thing.  If you don’t have a plan for where you are going, how will you know when you get there?  How will you measure progress?

That said, when we plan and work toward a goal and then factors, sometimes beyond your immediate control, impact that plan and force you to adjust, you have to learn how to adjust, keep perspective and keep moving forward.

When I was in my teens, 20s and even into my mid-30s and early-40s, I struggled with this dynamic.

When my plans would get disrupted, I was frequently unsure how to adjust or best restart.

At times this resulted in a state of “paralysis” and inaction, indecision and resulting depression.

I am not exactly sure how or why change was so difficult for me for so long.  It was hard to understand.

Sometimes it is in our nature and sometimes it is also in our nurture or our early environment and what we have been taught and conditioned to believe.  Early on in life, I had a somewhat simplistic view of life whereby I believed that if I did all the “right” things I was supposed to do that everything I wanted in life would just happen as I expected it to do.  I had some reinforcing experiences on this early on in the controlled environment of school and community where I was not as exposed to outside forces that would later teach me otherwise.

Later in life, into early adulthood, I began to have some experiences where I did what I thought I was supposed to do, the “right” thing, if you will and the results did not happen the way I thought they should.  I would get frustrated by this and at times I would just “shut down” for a period of time as a result.  I had not reached the point of a more balanced, and mature perspective, which is that we can sometimes put forth our very best effort and things may not turn out exactly as we expect, YET, we must continue to seek opportunities to put forth our very best effort because, eventually, doing so—going through the process of putting forth our best effort wherever we are and however we can will lead us a better place than we would have been otherwise.

Putting forth our best effort, staying calm in the face of adversity, staying positive in the face of challenges, disappointments and sometimes failures that happen…and if we are really pushing ourselves to do something, sometimes we are going to fail….in fact, the absence of failure in life may be evidence that someone has never really tried to push themselves to do something significant..or push beyond known and pre-defined limits….So failure is the seed of greater success…it is like fertilizer for the crop of success if you will…..So when we continue to push, we put ourselves in a position to have good things happen to us.

At some point others are going to recognize it.   At some point we are going to find a resonant location or situation or group or organization or company or some entity that will harness our desire to do good and harness our skills and give us an opportunity to contribute.

The world is always in need of contributors.  Sometimes finding the time and the place and the situation can be time consuming and difficult.  But it can eventually, and usually is, found for those who continue to do the “little things” each day the lead them to a better place and station.

To keep things in perspective, it is helpful to remind ourselves to be thankful for small blessings and be thankful for the good things we do have.    There are many “false narratives” in society that would have us believe negative things about ourselves and/or others….believe “false narratives” about what it is to be successful.  “False narratives” that may at times glorify bad, pernicious or evil things in this world.  We must understand that those narratives exist but keep them in proper perspective … at a distance…

We must remember that God gives us the choice and the responsibility to define our own narrative in life and we can choose to make that one a positive narrative each and every day.  There are going to be times of uncertainty, adversity, unexpected change, disappointment, and struggle.  There are ALSO going to be times of joy, victory, happiness, achievement, satisfaction and contribution when we continue to pursue positive effort and continue to work toward that end.

Emotions can be a tricky thing.  I have learned that my emotions can give me “false” indicators from time to time.  If I feel upset or angry…which happens to all of us at times, I must understand that being upset or angry and making an important decision from that perspective may not, in fact probably will not, be the best decision I could make.  I have been through that experience of making an impulsive decision to do something or not do something in a moment of anger.  My experience after the fact taught me, more than once, that this was not the best way to go.

So we have to understand that we do, as humans, have emotions, but we should not let our emotions of the moment overtake us and guide our decision making.  The same can also be said for moments of extreme happiness, exhilaration of joy.  Those may not be the best times to make important decisions either.  We can be “unbalanced” on the happiness scale too.

We should take all these things into account.

Remember, we do have a God who loves us.  His ways are much, much higher than our ways.

There are going to be things in this life that we do not understand.

There are going to be sad things that we do not understand.  God has an answer in the end to all of it.

We must, in the time and space we have, do the best we can with what God has given each of us and try to make the world a little better place.  We should not measure ourselves too closely against others (the Bible counsels us on this).  God has designed each of us with a unique purpose and a unique role to play.

We can learn from one another, we can follow good examples that others may set for us…and avoid the bad examples….BUT we cannot allow ourselves and our own life and contribution to be defined by others.  That is God’s domain and His alone.

These are thoughts that I hope have value for others.  They have a lot of value for me as they are the result of a lot of thinking, programming and reprogramming over time.  I know God has been an active player in my experience. God has opened doors for me and closed others.  At times I did not, and still do not, understand why.  That is OK.  I am not required to understand everything.  I only know that God asks me to use the knowledge, time and space I have to do the best I can where I am and leave the rest to Him.  If by doing that He enlarges (or shrinks) my territory to His ends, that Is within His power to do so.

Each day I should only endeavor to do my best…but also do it in a balanced way and not go too far to the extreme in one direction.   If God wants me at an “extreme” I believe He will make that very, very clear.   For most of us, He does not want us at a far “extreme”.   He has not designed most of us for that.

We are called to do what God has designed each of us to do and also to remember that God’s timing is not our timing.  We don’t always control the outputs.  We can strive our best to control the inputs.  Then keep putting in the inputs and see where they take us!   It can be fun!  It can be rewarding!  Eventually with enough good inputs we will experience that at some point at some time at some place…we just have to keep moving, striving, praying and working.

ETERNAL LIFE PROMISED BY YAHWEH

The Promise (eternal life) before the world began came from God.

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (Titus 1:2)

  • MOST PEOPLE HAVE THE FALSE BELIEF THAT OUR EXISTENCE STARTED AT THE GARDEN OF EDEN.
  • What if we actually existed before the Garden of Eden?  Remember God that cannot lie promised us eternal life before this world began.  We came from Jerusalem from above–a free place.

“But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.” Huh?  I repeat, “But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.”  (Galatian 4:26)

We were born and created in Jerusalem above the mother of us all.  God made this mystery available to those of us with eyes to see and ears in which to hear His truth.

Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:  That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:  (Ephesians 1:9-10)

Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,   Before I formed thee in the belly  I knew thee;  (?) and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.  (Jeremiah 1:4-5)

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.    As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.  (John 17:17-18)

So God sent Jesus into this world to die at Calvary for the sins of the nations. Jesus sent us into this world to become reconciled to God the Father by repenting of our sins against God in a prior world.  THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE IS A REALITY.  A PROMISE FROM GOD THE FATHER MADE KNOWN TO US BY HIS SON YESHUA (JESUS).

18   As thou hast sent me into the world, ***even so*** have I also sent them into the world.      JOHN 17:23 23       I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one;  and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast lov-ed them, *as* thou hast lov-ed me.   Notice the following phrase “and hast lov-ed them, *as* thou hast lov-ed me.”   Notice God loves us as God loves Jesus “and hast lov-ed them, *as* thou hast lov-ed me.”     25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.   JOHN 1:6      There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.   33       And I knew him not: but (he that sent me) to baptize with water, ***the same*** said unto me,  Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him,  the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

Luke 24:49   And, behold, I send ***the promise of my Father*** upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power ***from on high***.
Acts 1:4   And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem,
but wait for ***the promise of the Father***, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
Acts 2:33   Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father ***the promise of the Holy Ghost***, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

JESUS THE SON OF GOD MADE IT VERY CLEAR TO US  IN A SIMPLY AND STRAIGHT FORWARD STATEMENT steps we need to take to be saved  READ ON:

MARK 16:15-19      And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach ***the gospel*** to every creature.

16       He that believeth and is baptized (shall be saved;) but he that believeth not shall be damned.
16       He that believeth and is baptized (shall be saved;) but he that believeth not shall be damned.
16       He that believeth and is baptized (shall be saved;) but he that believeth not shall be damned.
19       ¶ So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

JESUS LAST WORDS to his apostles MINUTES BEFORE*** JESUS RETURN*** TO THE FATHER

JOHN 6:61       When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?

62       What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where ***he was before***?

BASIC INFORMATION TO US FROM GOD THE FATHER THAT YOU MUST UNDERSTAND. IT IS LIKE 1+1 =2 OR A B C. THAT IS WITHOUT *THIS BASIC KNOWLEDGE* YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE PLAN OF GOD

  Romans 3:23   For *all* have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

YES THIS IS CLEARLY SAYING *ALL ONCE HAD* THE GLORY OF GOD

HEBREWS 10:32       But call to remembrance the former days, in which,* after* ye were illuminated,
                       ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
1 Corinthians 15:44       It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.
There *is* a natural body, and there *is* a spiritual body.        1+1=2
( BIRTH AND BODY IS LIKE WET AND WATER THEY CANNOT BE SEPARATED)
JOHN 3:5  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,(2 BIRTHS)
he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6       That which is born of the flesh *is* flesh; and that which *is* born of the Spirit is spirit.
2 births
  • The first birth occurred when you came out of the sac of water in your mother’s womb.  You were born of water.
  • The second birth is when the flesh dies and the spirit returns to God who gave it.  You receive a spiritual body in the kingdom.  You are born of the spirit.

These are two separate births to enter into the kingdom of God.

7       Marvel not that I said unto thee, ***Ye must*** be born (again.)
8       The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, (but canst not tell whence it cometh,
and whither it goeth:) so ***is every one**** that is born of the Spirit.
so ***is every one**** that is born of the Spirit.
so ***is every one**** that is born of the Spirit.
so ***is every one**** that is born of the Spirit.(no exception)
(You can not return to the kingdom of heaven until you are born again into your spiritual body–the second birth .
This takes place the minute the flesh dies. In the flesh one can not see the spiritual birth the very same way one can not see God  or angels because the spiritual body is like the wind in that it can not be seen by flesh man. John 3:8)

Jesus is the first fruit that is he is the first person  that walked this earth that returned glorified to the Father.

John 20:17       Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father:  but go to my brethren, and say unto them,                     I ascend unto my Father, ***and your Father***; and to my God, ***and your God***.

I ascend unto my Father, ***and your Father***; and to my God, ***and your God***.
I ascend unto my Father, ***and your Father***; and to my God, ***and your God***.
I ascend unto my Father, ***and your Father***; and to my God, ***and your God***.

Luke 20:36  Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

Why can’t they die anymore?  After Christ resurrection, christians no longer need to sleep in death?

The term  slept  is used to refer to those who died before Christ payed the ransom price at Calvary.   Jesus conquered the power of death by dying for our sins.  He freed the dead spirits (who existed in a slept state) meaning spiritually dead waiting for Christ to die on the cross.  Spirits cannot die unless God destroys them after the white throne judgement.

John 19:30  When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

1 Corinthians 15:20     ¶ But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Let’s see if the word shines a light on what happened at Jesus death; he being the firstfruit.

1 Peter 3:18       ¶ For Christ *also* hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God,  being put to death *in the flesh*, but quickened by the Spirit:

  19       By ***which*** also he went and preached unto *the spirits* in prison;

20       Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

1 Corinth 15:35       ¶ But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

36       Thou fool, that which thou sowest ***is not quickened****, except it die:

37       And that which thou sowest, thou sowest *not* that body that shall be,
38       But ***God*** giveth it a body as it hath pleased him

 JOHN 36-7:
6       That which is born of the flesh *is* flesh; and that which *is* born of the Spirit is spirit.

7       Marvel not that I said unto thee, ***Ye must be born*** (again.)
2 Corinthians 5:5       Now he that hath wrought ***us ***for the selfsame thing is God,  who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
6       Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, ***whilst ***we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7       (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8       We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Now he that hath wrought (brought) us ***for the selfsame thing*** is God,
Now he that hath wrought us ***for the selfsame thing*** is God,
Now he that hath wrought us ***for the selfsame thing*** is God,

1 Corinthians 15:
49       And as we have borne the image of the earthy,* we* shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

CIMG0827
 50       Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood*** cannot*** inherit the kingdom of God;
         neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
49       And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall* also* bear the image of the heavenly.
49       And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall *also* bear the image of the heavenly.
49       And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall *also* bear the image of the heavenly.

DO NOT OVER LOOK THIS WORD ***ALSO***FOR IT HAS GREAT DEPTH
IT IS SAYING THAT YOU LIKE JESUS WILL *ALSO* bear the image of the heavenly.

I JOHN CHAPTER 3
1       ¶ Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2       Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:
but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

but *we know* that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
but *we know* that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

HEBREWS 2:
6       But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man,  that thou visitest him?
7       Thou ***madest him*** a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour,  and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

8       Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

But now we see not yet all things put under him.

9       But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

17       Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto ***his brethren***
17       Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto ***his brethren***
17       Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto ***his brethren***

I HOPE THIS WILL MAKE YOU APPRECIATE ***WHO YOU REALLY ARE*** AND BE NO LONGER DECEIVED BY THAT GREAT DECEIVER.

ROMANS 8:9       ¶ For whom he did *foreknow*, he*** also*** did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son,that he might be the firstborn among ***many*** brethren.

4     ¶ Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 5     Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Jeremiah represents all of us

ZECHARIAH CHAPTER 12 1     ¶ The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

Also represents what happened to Jesus also happens to us.
Hebrews 2:17  17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. 11 or both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, 14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

How To Know If God Is Working In Your life?

Is God Working In Your Life?

God is our provider.
God does not charge us for the air that we breathe, the water that we drink, the food that He provides nor the materials for shelter that He gave freely to us for our use.  Even the sunshine that lights our days and the stars and moon that light our nights comes free of charge.  God is truly amazing!

If you want to know if God is working in your life, open His word and start believing what He says.  If you honor God by honoring His words, God will make Himself known to you.  You will discover that God answers many prayers of the righteous.   God is working in the lives of those who believe in Him in other words believe His words to us.

What does the Bible say about how God works in our life?

These examples below can strengthen you and help you to persevere through the challenges and uncertainties–you must believe His words to us to become a friend of God!

  • Philippians 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
  • Ephesians 1:5  Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
  • Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
God's armies of angels work in the spiritual realm to affect the physical realm--walk by faith not by sight. See with your spiritual eyes like Elijah.
God’s armies of angels work in the spiritual realm to affect the physical realm–see with your spiritual eyes.  This requires walking by faith and not by sight.

  • 2 Kings 6:16-18  …So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. When they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD and said, “Strike this people with blindness, I pray.” So He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.…

Psalm 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.

  • John 14:27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

  • Philippians 1:6  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
  • And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

How do I trust God’s words when I face difficulties in life?

I’ve learned that God is working in my life by seeking to know him better and trusting in him.    I trust His words to me found in the Bible.  For every situation in my life, I find words of hope and encouragement.   I believe what God says in His words.

I’ve discovered the God of the Bible is a faithful God.  I’ve come to know that God is real for myself.

When I  pray, God answers my prayers–many of them.

By developing a relationship with God over the decades, my faith in God has grown.  I’ve seen God work in my life time and time again.

This moonlight image captured above the rooftop is of the moon eclipsed by the earth one Arizona night. The reddish hue of the moon did not appear on the picture.  It’s difficult to contemplate the heavens and not consider our creator.

God is alive and working in the lives of those who love Him and believe in His word!  When you start believing God’s words, God will manifest Himself to you.

  • Romans 1:18-20 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.…

If you worship me, I will give you the kingdoms of this world.

Satan is here on Earth.

You may not know who Satan (Lucifer son of the morning) really is or his history, but he knows who you are and your history!

Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Isaiah 14:12  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Satan fell to the earth from his high standing in heaven and deceived us into disobeying God.  So, God placed him here on this earth as well as humanity due to our sin against God.

Revelation 12:9  “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

Yeshua (Jesus) Sent To Educate Us About Our History With God

There is the good shepherd named Yeshua (Jesus) sent to bring us back into good standing with Yahweh (God).

John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

Creator of Heaven Above and Earth Beneath
Creator of Heaven Above and Earth Beneath

Jesus (Yeshua) came to set the ignorant and uneducated captives free.  His death at calvary became a game changer for God’s children who choose to repent and return to God–the prefix re- means “again” or “again and again”.  God gives us another opportunity through Jesus’ death on the cross to live with Him again free from sin.

This is the promise of eternal life God gave to Abraham and His seed (children).  This promise is the Holy Spirit.  This is, also, the gospel Jesus came to deliver to humanity from His Father.  God in His infinite mercy made a way for us to return to Him.  God loves us (His children) and sent Yeshua (Jesus) to die and pay the sin penalty of death for us.  Satan no longer possess the authority enslave us once we repent of our sin towards God.   We must each walk on our own away from a life of sin towards a life of righteousness and holiness.

Satan deceived and captured many of God’s children through sin.  They are enslaved on earth and left uneducated about who they really–without their true history and education they will never escape due to ignorance.  Satan a terrorist and hijacker does not want publicity.

Satan’s Revolution to Overthrow God’s Kingdom

Lucifer, better known as Satan since his fall in God’s kingdom thousands perhaps millions of years ago, started a revolution in heaven to overturn the Creator of the universe: Yahweh.  However, Yahweh threw him to the Earth.

Luke 10:18  “And he (Jesus) said unto them,  I beheld Satan as lightning falling from the heavens.”

Satan Thrown Out of Heaven
Revelation 12:7-12 ‘And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.  Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.”’

Satan is after the destruction of God’s children.  He caused you to lose your identity as a child of God, deceived you and enslaved you.  If you continue to sin willfully, you are Satan’s slave.  He exploits you for his advantage and intends to finally destroy you.  The last thing Satan your enemy wants you to know is that he exist.  He would rather you think he is just a myth.  He operates in the spiritual realm.

Alive To God and Slave to Righteousness (Narrow Road to Life) or Dead with Satan and Slave To Sin (Wide Road to Death)

You’re either a slave to righteousness or you are a slave to sin and Satan according to Romans chapter 6.  Romans 6:9-11 makes it clear that God’s children must flee sin and walk in righteousness.

8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.

Paul goes on to say in Romans 6:20-23 the following:

20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We were born here in the flesh on earth in slavery and that’s all we know of our history; however, Yahweh sent Yeshua (Jesus) to educate us an free us from sin and the fear of death.

Romans 6:16-19

16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.

So Paul is crystal clear about believers needing to eliminate sin from their mortal bodies.  God’s grace is not cheap grace.  Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sin against God.  Do not be deceived, you cannot continue to walk willfully in sin and think you are covered by the blood of Christ.  Sin must go!  Otherwise you are deceiving yourself with lies from Satan.  Let God’s words to us be true and every man and woman a liar.

Romans 6:1-2  What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

God is allowing us to choose life with Him free from sin or a life of sin and death.  Satan is here on Earth in the spiritual realm intent on making sure you continue to sin and die captive to him!

So, while we are here on earth passing through the physical stages of life and death in our mortal bodies, there is a war going on behind the scenes in the spiritual realm that we cannot see with our physical eyes.

How to Overcome Our Accuser

So how do we overcome Satan our accuser who accuses us night and day before God?

According to Revelation 12:11, we can overcome God’s enemy by asking God’s forgiveness for disobeying Him when we listened to the lies of Satan.  When we repent and acknowledge our sin against God by asking God to forgive us for sinning against Him, by turning from our sinful lifestyle and acknowledging that Yeshua (Jesus) died to pay the sin penalty for our sins and sharing our stories of God’s goodness with others, we can help others to know the truth about the mercy of Yahweh.

Revelation 12:11-12   11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

You can overcome Satan by Jesus’ death on calvary and your testimony.

Jesus is not of this world. This is not His home. He came from God and returned to God. He sent us here. This is not our home.
Jesus is not of this world. This is not His home. He came from God and returned to God. He sent us here. This is not our home.

Why Did Satan Take The Risk and Disobey God In Heaven?

In Isaiah 14:14, Isaiah wrote that Satan said the following:

“I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.”

Satan intended on being like God.  What he really wanted was to replace God and take His position.  He told us in heaven if we disobey God’s commands,  we would be just like God knowing both good and evil.  Since we believed Satan’s lie over God who provided us with everything beautiful in the garden of Eden (heaven), we disobeyed God’s commands.  We were foolish.  Thus, God removed us from Eden (heaven with Him).  This is our true history with God our Father and Creator.  This is also the history of slavery to Satan we humans found ourselves born into here on earth.  Satan is our God and he rules us here on earth as long as we continue to walk in sin.

The Battle to Overcome The Enemy

We must want our freedom and risk our mortal lives to get it!  This takes courage and faith in the record God left for us.  We do not need to continue to listen to Satan’s lies.

History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.
Maya Angelou

We can return back to God and beg for forgiveness and intentionally eliminate sin from our lives–with the power of God’s Holy Spirit living within us.

A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history.
Mahatma Gandhi

We can make a difference in our eternal life not only for ourselves, but we can help to save others in our family and among our friends.  We can save our brethren that God sends to us.  This takes courage.  We fight a real enemy we cannot see with our mortal eyes, but we know Satan exist.

I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
Nelson Mandela

There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.
Nelson Mandela

For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.

I’ve Discovered Our Real History Through The Holy Bible and My Experiences

History is the version of past events that people have decided to agree upon.
Napoleon Bonaparte

The very ink with which history is written is merely fluid prejudice.
Mark Twain

I want you to keep these quotes in mind knowing Satan is behind the scenes of this world.

History is a set of lies agreed upon.
Napoleon Bonaparte

Personally, I’ve always believed in God from a very young age.   This child like faith helped me to recognize early spiritual experiences in which God manifested himself to me.  These spiritual encounters over the years served to strengthen my faith.

I learned that God is not only real, but He is faithful to those who love Him.

I’ve, also, discovered for myself that Satan exist.  I heard his voice speaking through another individual.  It wasn’t the individual I heard that I knew, it was Satan.  I knew it in retrospect.  I cannot use the scientific method to prove it, but I can say empirical evidence should suffice!  The behavior, personality and everything had been taken over.  The arrogance, haughtiness, calm and deliberateness like a high profile attorney trying to gather information.  Within forty eight hours this individual took someone else’s life and then took his own–based on the evidence I heard and what I knew of the individual.

When you stand on God’s word and remain obedient to God’s will for your life, Satan attempt to thwart your plans to serve God.  If this means he needs to come and speak to you audibly through someone else, he will do so.  Remember the story of Jesus in the wilderness for forty days and nights getting prepared to do what God sent Him here on earth to do.  Satan attempted to stop Jesus (Yeshua) like he tried to hinder me.

Matthew 4:3-10 (KJV)

3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

You must remain obedient to God!  The more I trust in God’s word and record sent through His Son recorded in the New Testament of the Bible, the more evidence I discover that supports God’s record to us.

My belief in God stood not for long on blind faith, but living faith built upon experiences and encounters with God.

One day I gave my life to God–asking God to help me remove all sin from my life to serve Him.

A few months after I had this encounter with Satan.  I did not immediately recognize him speaking through an individual I knew.

Satan turn his head towards me and said with arrogance, “What are you doing?”

Struck by the odd question, the odd voice, the odd personality and the stranger before me, I said “what?”

The what was also me saying who are you, what is this strange voice and what is this odd personality coming through this individual.  I felt perplexed.

In addition the question made no sense to me.  I obviously was not doing a thing.   I had just sat quietly down.

He repeated the question: “What are you doing?”

In irritation and with indifference “I’m not doing anything. What are you talking about?”  He did not respond.  He just turned his head ending the conversation and left with the coldness and arrogance of Satan.

It did not occur to me until several events quickly transpired within forth eight hours following the death of two individuals that this was an encounter with Satan.  Once I contemplated what had transpired and  I took in all the evidence, it suddenly occurred to me that I faced Satan and survived.

The individual Satan took possession of died within forty eight hours and another individual too.  This individual had recently gotten on antidepressants and decided to get off shortly without their doctor’s permission.  This all transpired following the sudden and unexpected death of their relatively young (mid 50s) and previously healthy mother.

Our enemy is looking for every opportunity to destroy us.   So make sure that you do not leave yourself wide open for His attacks.

The first thing when you go into battle is to recognize who your enemy is and how He attacks so that you don’t get ambushed.    When attacked do like Jesus and quote scripture starting off with “It is written” like Jesus.  You cannot go wrong using His model for us against Satan.

You may wonder how I knew it was Satan that I heard in this individual.  I just recognized Him!  After giving it just a little thought after the fact, it all made sense.  I looked at all the pieces of the puzzle and put them together and it painted a clear picture.

Perhaps, also, God revealed this knowledge to me.  There is evidence of this in the Bible.

Matthew 16:13-17   “When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.”

Sometimes God reveals things to us for His own purposes that help to build our faith and reveal spiritual truths to us.  Thus, we can share and strengthen others in their journey with God.

I know the enemy uses subtle tactics to manipulate us into turning away from God and serving him.  He tries to convince us that sin is no big deal.

Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

2 Corinthians 11: 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

The Holy Spirit, however, convinces us that we must eliminate sin and walk righteously before God.  We serve Satan when we sin against God whether we realize it or not.  Slaves are ignorant and cannot see the truth–they are blinded by ignorance and lies.

We are not even aware we are slaves to Satan until we decide to finally do away with sin in our lives and become a slave to righteousness and to God.   As slaves we do not know anything other than a life of slavery until we escape and get a taste of freedom from sin and the fear of death.  Satan will probably show up to stop you.  He will likely attempt to get you under his control again so you can become a slave to sin and to him.  He will may question you to see if he can control you and get you to commit sin against God.  I learned all this through my own personal walk with God.  When you are on track with God, he will attempt to intervene to get you off course like he did with Jesus in the wilderness.

If Satan has not appeared to you and attempted to get you from following the bidding of the Holy Spirit, you may be a slave to him–based on my personal experience.

You may not realize that you serve Satan because you read your Bible and you go to church like me for years.  Satan goes to church too.  He runs many of the churches–sad to say but true.

Satan enslaved me to a life of sin until I had enough of feeling convicted by the Holy Spirit.   I asked God to break any bondage of sin that controls my life.  I cried out to God giving Him full authority to do what I learned that I could not do for myself despite all my attempts.  I decided to follow faithfully the Holy Spirit wishes for my life–that’s 100% control by the Holy Spirit no matter what!   I not only surrendered my life to God, I gave God full authority to run my life.

Sin had to go–no excuses!   I heard about a life of freedom from sin and death from another, and I wanted that freedom.

If the Holy Spirit convicted my heart about anything, I immediately listened.  I turned to God, and God answered my prayer setting me free from a life of sin and a life bound by Satan.

Satan and His demonic spirits could no longer control my life and convince me to go against God’s will for my life.  Satan appeared to check out the scene to see if it was true that I would not sin willfully against God.

I chose God’s will for my life over a life of sin against God.

When Satan intervened, I rejected Satan.  Satan left.

Satan’s voice was a familiar voice I immediately recognized after thinking about it like I said.  It certainly was not my friend.  Satan invaded my friend’s body and took control.  This person did not act the same after this experience.  I know the Holy Spirit warned me several times within this 48 hours not to go anywhere with this individual, which I heeded each warning–three to be exact.

I never saw my former friend again. Even prior to this 48 hour period the Holy Spirit warned me to end this friendship and to stay on alert.

I had never formally ended a friendship, but I felt compelled to do so.  So I kept my distance.  I intended on ending the friendship; however, the individual died.

This person changed and seemed angry all the time.  I certainly did not possess a clue at the time of how to help.  Satan took this individual over and destroyed their flesh.

This experience thought me that Satan is real.  God is, also, very real.

Sometimes the most trying experiences teach us the most about God if we trust Him and look for Him operating in the scenes of our lives.

Jesus came to earth to teach us about God and how to overcome Satan.  He revealed the way for us to return to the kingdom and how to become reconciled to God.

Jesus, also, had visits from Satan.  Satan worked hard to get Jesus from following the Holy Spirit.  Jesus did not budge from His allegiance to to bidding of the Holy Spirit.  Satan attacked Jesus in the wilderness when He started to prepare for His ministry and do what the Holy Spirit wanted Him to do.

Luke 4:1-13  “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.

And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:

10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:

11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.”

Yes, Satan is real and wants to tempt us to sin against God.  He would like you to think of him in mythical terms.  Satan wants you to think he doesn’t exist.   He is a spirit and operates in the spiritual realm most of the time behind the scenes hidden out of sight.  He does appear and can speak to us when he choses to do so. His goal is to tempt us to sin against God.

There is a Spiritual Battle Going On and Many of Us are Too Busy to Notice.

We are like sitting ducks in the hands of a highly skilled duck hunter.

God warns us that our fight is not a physical one but a spiritual fight.  We need to understand God’s enemy and our enemy.  Satan works in the spiritual realm unbeknownst to us–behind the scenes of our life.

Ephesians 6:12  “ For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Satan tricks people into falling under his leadership.  In the process they lose their liberty and become slaves to him.  We become separated from God when we live a life of sin.  We lose our freedom.

Sin Hides God’s Face From Us

Isaiah 59:2  “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”

If we want to live a life pleasing to God, we must choose a life apart from sin.  We must ask God to help us live a righteous life that pleases Him.  Until we are committed to becoming slaves of righteousness, we will remain  enslaved to a sinful life–enslaved to Satan.

Satan is a Subtle Snake that Enslaves Those Captured by Sin

In our physical realm, we cannot easily recognize spiritual beings at work.  Nevertheless, the spiritual invisible realm exist.  Satan exist and so does God in the spiritual realm.  Satan lies against God to get God’s creation to serve him rather than God.  Let’s look at the scene where we fell in heaven in the Garden of Eden when we walked and talked with God.

Genesis 3:1-5 “Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

So Eve and Adam did what God asked them not to do.  As a result, they sinned against God hoping to become like God.  Satan tricked them and they were forced out of heaven (Eden).

Genesis 3:24 So he (God) drove out the man (humans); and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Free In God

Due to this sin, they  were removed from the presence of God.  They no longer had access to the tree of life nor the life giver–they lost their freedom in God.   They made a decision based on what appeared to be good and safe rather than what God said for them.  Disobedience to God led to their fall and removal from God’s kingdom.

Genesis 3:6-7 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Sin brought guilt and shame upon them both.

The Wisdom of Sin: Shame, Fear, Guilt, Selfishness, Pain, Sadness, Loss, Bondage

After obeying Satan, this couple immediately felt shame and guilt within themselves.  While obeying God, they felt free from shame and guilt and at peace.

God a wise, all-knowing and just God created an escape route for those lost due Satan’s lies and deceitfulness.  God has allowed Satan a certain level of freedom while He allows His plan of salvation to go forward.

Free to Love versus Enslaved to Selfishness and Sin

God gave Satan and all of us a choice.  We could choose obedience to God by abiding and honoring His rules to 1) love God and 2)  love your neighbor as yourself.  The other alternative Satan focused upon is to 1) not love God and 2) not love your neighbor as yourself.  God always gives us freedom of choice.

None I would imagine had ever disobeyed God in the realm of paradise until Satan full of wisdom fell from grace and deceived others to join him.

God is Both Just and Merciful–Satan Wants to Discredit God’s Great Name

God could have immediately destroyed Lucifer (Satan); however, God chose not to do so until His specified time.

God a just God has a plan of redemption for those that fell due to Satan’s deceitfulness and their lack of obedience to God’s word.

On the other hand, Satan wants to argue God is unjust.  God gave him freedom, beauty, wisdom and wealth. God showed love to Satan. Satan showed ungratefulness and selfishness towards God. God had already made him the highest in the kingdom. Greed led him to hate God. He wanted God’s great name. His wasn’t great enough. There was only one being that had a greater name than him and that was God.  He orchestrated a plan to take God’s place and fell from grace in the process.

Although Satan messed up, God still communicates with him which the book of Job 1:6-12 reveals. God did not react in anger and destroy him. He did, however, throw him out of heaven upon this Earth.

We are all on trial here on this earth. The host of heaven watches from above.
We are all on trial here on this earth. The host of heaven watches from above.  I hope Jesus is your lawyer because He already payed the penalty of sin for those who come to him.  Yahweh is the judge.  Your accuser is Satan your prosecutor.

God allows Satan to try his case in court.  What is Satan hoping to attain?  He already lost the battle in trying to overtake the kingdom of God yet God has not destroyed him.  He serves a useful purpose in God’s plan to redeem the lost from the grips of sin.

Satan attempts to destroy God’s name in the garden of Eden Gen 3:1-5.

Satan tries to convince Adam and Eve that God isn’t who He says that He is. He is not a God of love. He is not worthy of the name He goes by. Adam and Eve doubted God’s name; God’s actual character is his name. They lost faith in God and opted out of obedience to God. They decided that God could not be trusted.  Satan became their new master; they trusted Satan.

Satan is trying to prove that we all have a right to distrust God and to live by our own rules in this world.   He offers us freedom and liberty from God’s rules of love for God and love for one’s neighbor as oneself.

Satan is saying why be a slave to God and a servant of God when you can have freedom to be a servant to self and a slave to no one.

Satan has a manipulative and bad argument; however, he convinced  Adam and Eve to obey him rather than God.  He convinced humanity to obey him and fall likewise alongside him.  God gave Adam, Eve and us everything.  Satan gave us nothing, but lies that led to our fall from a state of perfection–the way in which God originally made us.

This separation from God due to sin against God resulted in fear, guilt, shame, which did not exist in the kingdom of God. These undesirable attributes only exist in the world of Satan away from God.

Why does God continue to toy with Satan’s theories?  Why not just destroy him?

God is wise and all knowing. He abides within his own laws of love.  He wants to give each and every lost soul an opportunity to repent and return to Him.  He even sent Yeshua (Jesus) to the Earth to die on a stake to pay the sin ransom to allow us to return to the kingdom in heaven–Eden.

A Holy and Loving God Worth to be Praised!
A Holy and Loving God Worthy of Praise!

Yes, Jesus left the spiritual realm to come into our physical realm to help us understand that our Father in heaven wants us to understand the mysteries of His will.  He wants us to return home to the kingdom.  He wants us His prodigal children to not remain slaves to sin and Satan.

Satan argues that beings only serve Him because of the good that they get from God. If God took away His goodness, we would no longer serve Him. He argues Job’s righteousness is self-serving.

Satan demonstrates complete disrespect for His Maker.

God’s name (His character) is on trial before the universe.

God says the wages of sin is death.

How can God’s name simultaneously represent both love and justice?    How can God destroy a life that He loves? Will God’s name stand up in the face of Satan’s arguments?

Yeshua (Jesus) dies in our stead which shows He is a God of Justice–the penalty of sin is death.  Yahweh sent His Son to pay our sin penalty so we can enter back into His kingdom: Eden.  God sent His Son to die and pay our sin penalty.  Justice is served because the wages of sin is death.   God sent His Son to save us from our sins, which shows He is a God of mercy and love!  Now it is up to us to decide that we no longer wish to continue to sin against God.  We must flee sin by turning back to God, repenting and asking for His help!  When we turn to God; God will receive us.

We serve a loving and just God!  His name and character is worthy to be Praised!  God’s name is His character.

Satan continues to this day to try to destroy God’s name and character to all that will listen to his lies.  He convinces people God does not even exist.  He says we are free to live as we please and as our own God with liberty and justice for all who reject God.  We can become Gods–rulers over ourselves.  Right and wrong is dependent on what we say it is and laws are meant to be broken.

Remember the truth will set you free from a life of sin and bondage to Satan.  You can choose life with God or death with Satan.

God is all powerful.  His word and laws of love will stand.  His name will stand long after Satan is destroyed!  So, I hope you choose wisely on a foundation of righteousness whom you will obey.

The host of heaven watches what takes place here on this Earth.  They’re rooting for you!  From their vantage point, they know who’s name is worthy to be praised–Yahweh (God)!  They live in splendor with God.   They see the suffering amongst the inhabitants on Earth under Satan’s control.  The problem is the inhabitants on earth cannot see Satan and cannot see the kingdom of splendor they walked away from in choosing a life of sin.  If they could see paradise lost, they would quickly return.    Slaves of are not educated so they remain enslaved to their ruler: Satan.  Yeshua (Jesus) came to spread the gospel of the coming kingdom of God.  He died to pay our sin penalty so we can return back to God the Father.  We have a better future in store for us as children of God.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Satan will burn.  This is his future that awaits him. He is angry and wants to take with him as much of God’s children as he can take.  Satan your adversary is real.

Flee a life of sin and live.  How you may ask?  Read Mark 16:15-20.

15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

How Can You Know For Sure You Are Saved?

How did Jesus describe this enemy of God?

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.

John sent by God shares the truth.

John 1:6 “There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.”

John came from the kingdom of God to Earth with a mission from God.

John teaches about who sent him to the earth, who sent Yeshua (Jesus) here and ultimately  who we really are in the book of John.

John 20:21 “Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.”

Jesus is not of this world. This is not His home. He came from God and returned to God. He sent us here. This is not our home.
Jesus is not of this world. This is not His home. He came from God and returned to God. He sent us here. This is not our home.

Who sent Jesus here?

Who sent us here?

Who sent John to this earth?

God sent them from the kingdom to the earth to fulfill a purpose: reconciliation to God.  Reconciliation means “to restore friendly relations between…cause to coexist in harmony; make or show to be compatible”…”processes of dealing with the past”–according to the dictionary for the former and Wikipedia for the latter.

Humans belong to God; however, we fell short in God’s kingdom.  Under the leadership of Satan, we took a gamble and decided to trust Satan’s words over God’s words to us.  We thought the ways of Satan and sin more alluring than the ways of God so we left the kingdom by knowingly breaking God’s laws.   Thus,  we caused a division between ourselves and God.  Jesus came to help us understand the truth of why we exist here on earth in flesh form and how to return to God’s kingdom.

Jesus known as Yeshua reconciles believers back to God by paying the penalty for our sin: death at Calvary–the hill outside Jerusalem on which Yeshua was crucified.  Yeshua obeyed God’s command reconciling us back to God.

The cross is famous throughout the world. This reminds Christians throughout the world of the price Yeshua (Jesus) payed for our sins at calvary over 2000 years ago.

We once belonged to God in heaven long ago.  Unfortunately our sins separated us from God.  Satan tricked us.  God removed us sinners from the kingdom.  Yeshua (Jesus) sent us to live with our new master here on Earth to learn that God’s ways of love supersedes Satan’s ways of selfishness and sin.  Jesus came to Earth in flesh form to die for the sins of humanity to allow for reconciliation between us and God.  Yeshua (Jesus) sent by God gives us the truth.  He demonstrates God’s love for us by His interaction with humanity.   The writings of His mission accomplished on the day of Calvary lives on today in the Bible.

A Holy and Loving God Worth to be Praised!
A Holy and Loving God Worthy to be Praised!

John 17:1-3, 8  “These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.”

God made a way for our restoration back into the kingdom by the death of Yeshua (Jesus) on Calvary to pay our sin penalty for us.   This is the good news: the promise of eternal life.

I John 2:25 “And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.”

Paul and other disciples remind us throughout the Bible that God’s kingdom opened up for us when Jesus paid our sin penalty at Calvary.  He allows for the reconciliation between us and God when we repent of our sin against God and become baptized.  Baptism symbolizes our death of the old self and our commitment to living a new life with God.

So, how can you know for sure you are saved?  Well Mark clearly stipulates the signs of fellow believers in Mark 16:15-20 below:

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.   He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;  They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.  And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”

This is a simple explanation of how to be saved.  These express  Yeshua’s (Jesus’) last words to the apostles before He left to return to the Father.  This is the truth!  This tells the difference between being saved and being damned!

We are buried with Christ.
We are buried with Christ.  This is a cemetery in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Our enemy Satan tries to hide the truth from us.

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”  (2 Corinthians 11:3)

John and other disciples help us to understand the gospel about what Yeshua (Jesus) has done for us.

“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”  (John 3:17)

Yeshua (Jesus) was sent here on earth by God to reconcile sinners back to God.  Reconcile means to restore friendly relations between or to settle (a disagreement)– between humans and God.

We once belonged to God in heaven long ago.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, [after] ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, [knowing in yourselves that ye {have} in heaven a better and an enduring substance.]–[knowing in yourselves that ye {have} in heaven a better and an enduring substance.]

34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.

36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.  (Hebrews 10:31-39)

Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.  (2 Corinthians 5:5-8)

Unfortunately our sins separated us from God.  Satan tricked us.  We then suddenly were enslaved to Satan and removed from God due to our sin.  We could no longer stay in God’s presence and under God’s rulership.  God removed us sinners from the kingdom and sent us to live with our new master here on Earth to learn that God’s ways of love supersedes Satan’s ways of selfishness and sin.

Jesus allows us the only way back to God.  He sent by God gives us the truth about our fall from grace and allows us to become reconciled back to God the Father.

Why Did God Give Me A Dream Of Heaven?

Two or three months after the death of a dear friend that pained me to my very bowels, God gave me a dream in which I found my self walking around in heaven.   This dream immediately comforted me in the midst my storm.  He allowed me to go through this crushing experience that altered my path in life.  He gave me a glimpse of where He intended to take me.

This dream appeared so vivid that I can never forget.  This is one of those rare dreams that sticks with you for a lifetime.

God knew what I needed.  The dream fulfilled those needs.   I know I am to continue to live obediently to His will.  He will guide my life into this kingdom.

I do not feel my words can adequately describe a spiritual world in my dream that physical beings can fully comprehend.  I will do my best.  For some basis of comparison, Beverely Hills or the richest place on the Earth will pale in comparison.  So Heaven juxtaposed to this Earth makes the richest place here on Earth appear like the most dangerous slum imaginable.

We left the kingdom to get lost here on Earth in a slum: the pig slop in the story of the prodigal son in the Bible.  Where we live is like living in a prison compared to Heaven.  Prisoners are always on guard protecting themselves here in our world when amongst themselves.  There is no need for this in Heaven–no one will harm you.  Evil and sin does not exist there.  Wisdom and knowledge flows throughout–you just know.  No one will break into your house–you just know.  You do not need to work and labor for food to eat and a home to live in to care for yourself like most of us here on Earth.  Whatever you think just magically happens.  Night does not exist so need to worry about stumbling in the dark or someone trying to rob you while walking alone in a strange and unknown place. The weather is perfect so no need to grab a coat or look for an air conditioner.  Love takes the place of worry and joy takes the place of pain.  We do not need to look to things to do to entertain us, the place is a wonderland full of excitement, beauty and things to explore.

Heaven reflects a true utopia that is beyond any earthly comprehension.  How is this possible?  It is just perfect–nothing decays.  Everything is full of life and energy.  A sense of love just seems to emanate throughout this place.  First imagine perfection on the earth or in heaven in which death, decay, fear, negativity, sin, iniquity and destruction does not exist. The opposite of all these things pervade the surroundings.  There is a sense of youthfulness in all living things.

Things shine with life, splendor, shimmering color and sing harmoniously their own special tunes.  So when you walk in nature, you can hear the leaves clapping, the birds singing and other unknown living thing joining the orchestra of nature to create a soft and delightful natural outside orchestra.  This  gives one a sense of exhilarating joy and love–music is in the air all around.  This magical and spiritual experience man or woman’s mind could not begin to completely comprehend.  This is Yahweh’s world that He created without sin!  A world overflowing with love and joy–the kingdom of God where sin is not allowed.  A jaw dropping wow is what I experienced innumerable times while walking in my spirit in heaven in my dream!

You literally must see and experience heaven to truly begin to recognize how awesome and loving the creator, architect, designer, mastermind and source of all that exist truly is. Earth is but a bad shadow of the real thing! Heaven essentially represents a kingdom filled with joy, peace, love, wonder, exquisite beauty and every imaginable good thing–a positive aura emanates throughout.  The art and creativity stood out.   It’s a holy, creative and powerful place of light beyond human comprehension.  I did not see a sun in the sky and night did not exist.  I saw streets of gold.  I did not see God, but what I saw in heaven words could never paint a true picture of this magical place.

Shock and awe best describes my experience in Heaven.  Wow, my jaws kept dropping lower and lower as I walked through nature and as I approached mansions jutting high into the sky!  Wow, I looked up to see a sea of glass with sea creatures swimming.   What I saw initially left me speechless and in utter awe!

If God appeared in my dream in heaven, I would predict I would drop to my knees,  bow and sing praises to His name at the sheer wonder and magic of heaven!  Amazing is an understatement!  Heaven is a place that is alive with vibrant colors, melodic and musical sounds within nature, tranquility and an almost tangible aura of love emanates throughout–fear, decay and everything negative is nonexistent.  Everything including colors appear fresh, brand new and alive.   Colors  appear  vibrantly alive and bring joy and exhilaration due to its sheer beauty and perfection!

Mansions and landscaped lawns beautifully project upwards into the sky with exquisite aesthetics.  Imagine stepping into your empty mansion for the first time  and seeing a delightful cream colored room.   You begin to think “I wish the room was yellow.”  Before you complete the thought, the entire room turns a radiant yellow.  In utter shock, your mouth drops once again in awe at the beauty and wonder of what God has in store for you.  You walk into another empty room and wish the room to be larger and immediately the room expands. You then begin to think this size is good, and the room immediately stops to the desired size.  Heaven is an unbelievably amazing place where your jaw just drops continuously and your eyes just bulge wide open whenever you turn your head to see all God’s amazing wonders.

The shock and awe affect gradually subsides a little as I became familiar with the wonders of heaven in my dream.  I saw beautiful peaceful animals  that exist in heaven, but not here on Earth.  I just remember feeling joyful, content, exhilarated, inquisitive and loved.  If we intend to make it into the heavenly kingdom to see the sea of glass shooting upwards into the sky with all the sea creatures living within it, we must stay in relationship with God.

We must seek first this kingdom of God.  Peter says in I Peter 1:14-16 “As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God’s life, a life energetic and blazing with holinessGod said, “I am holy; you be holy.” [MSG]  We must shun sin like God hates sin.  We must change our lifestyles and live for God by asking God to change us so that we develop the Character of Yeshua (Jesus).  We must stop making excuses to allow sin to remain in our lives.  If we don’t listen now, we might discover when we get to heaven that God never knew us though we cast out demons in His name.

Furthermore, I could not make the changes in my life to permanently break the shackles of sin Satan used to control me.  I knew God would help me overcome sin, but I had to repent and turn away completely from my old sinful way of living.  God stepped in when I reached out to Him and begged Him to remove sin out of my life.  What He did for me, He will and wants to do for you.   I turned to the Creator who made and continues to help me make the necessary changes to live a life free from sin.

Let’s shift allegiance from Satan back to God by asking God to help break the chain of sin that hinders your growth with God.  I gave God complete control of my life and authority to remove this addiction to sin.  He crushed sin out of my heart like some people crush a roach.  He gave me a new heart with His commandments written on them.   I no longer serve sin with a stony heart.  I now live through Christ living in me.  God granted my request to help me eliminate sin out of my life.  I stand by my testimony that God is a faithful and loving God!   I am not the same person following this encounter with God.

In seeing heaven in a dream, I know what a gift God has in store for us.  A life of sin bound to Satan cannot compare to what God has to offer us who choose a sin free lifestyle.  I understand Paul’s word when he says the following: 1 Corinthians 2: 9 reminds us of the following: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ears heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

An Encounter With God

All my life I followed God’s commandments to the best of my ability.  I failed miserably at one point or another.  I grew tired of working to be righteous to avoid guilt.  One day  I stood at a fork in the road of my life.  I couldn’t decide which direction to go.   Both choices seemed painful.  I knew what God wanted me to do.  I just couldn’t make a choice.   I had lots of doubts about making a mistake I might live to regret.

In utter desperation one late afternoon, I begged God upon my knees with my head to the floor to take my life over and allow His will to be done!  I felt confident He would grant my request.  My life hit rock bottom in a little under seven months after pleading with God.

Did I make a mistake by giving God full authority to run my life in the direction He would like?   I never doubted God’s judgement although the question certainly crossed my mind.  I remembered the story of Job in the Bible and knew better than to ever question God.  How could I a mere creature question my Creator?  I would not make the same mistake Job made.  I just bore the pain and drew closer to God.

This was the absolute lowest, darkest, both physically and mentally painful period  within my 32 years on earth.  My world had turned topsy-turvy.  I couldn’t figure out how to mentally process what I was enduring.  My heart ached and my upper body shook uncontrollably while crying at the sudden and unexpected loss of life of my dear friend.  I had never thought of dying, but for the first time in my life at 32 I questioned what it would be like to be dead for one brief second!  Satan I’m certain provided me with an escape route to avoid the torture.  A consoling thought came to me, but the thought was not mine.

The pain seemed more than I wanted to face for a split second.  I momentarily encountered a sense of relief at the fleeting thought of taking my life which took my mind off all my problems.  I rejected the thought as quickly as it arrived. In that moment God allowed me to empathize with people who become suicidal.  I always thought how foolish a thought until I faced my own cross.  I had honestly never ever thought of such a thing before and could not comprehend why anyone would consider the thought!

As a true optimist, I could always see the good in a situation when I needed to do so to stay positive and persevere.  So this experience helped me to develop greater empathy for others that hurt!   My faith and obedience in God created a hedge of protection for me to a certain extent.  Despite my circumstances I knew  I could trust God  in this storm in my life like I did throughout my life.  Somehow I developed over the years a rock solid trust in God that carried me through this difficult stage in my life.

Furthermore, I recall telling God this was not what I asked for when I gave Him full control over my life nor did I ever dream of this happening.   I knew I gave Him permission to do what needed to be done.  At no point, however, did I ever feel the least bit angry with God.  I recognized that I need to be more specific the next time I pray to God because I did not like the outcome.  He knew that option never crossed my mind.  He protected me from a greater loss.  The loss of life with Him.

The same day following the death, I just remember God telling me that He loved me.  I heard in my spirit about two dozen times I love you.”  This soft inner voice kept speaking to me repeating “I love you.”  I knew this was the Lord.  About the sixth or seventh time I started to feel loved and no longer felt all alone with my pain. I felt God right there with me in the room.  His love and presence led me to tears once again.

I don’t recall ever questioning His judgement. I knew then as I have always known that all things work together for good for those who trust in the Lord. Pain can help to purify the soul by forcing us to seek God in obedience and asking Him for the help that we so desperately need and cannot do on our own.  Suffering can beautify the soul when the pain gives us knowledge of the Lord, which leads to wisdomWisdom comes from knowing, trusting and walking obediently with God day by day.  He never leaves us nor forsake us.

Looking back thirteen years later, the situation felt like a crucifixion.  A part of me died.  Another part of me came alive.   I discovered a God with a sense of humor and a personality so real that I could never question God’s existence!  God’s eyes looked on me and his ears heard my plea for help one desperate afternoon.  He came to my rescue.  He waited for me to call out for help before He took control of my life.  He never left my side.  This is my testimony.
