This article demonstrates 9 Ways To Receive A Blessing from Yahweh plus four additional lessons worth remembering.  You will hopefully come to a deeper understanding of God’s people symbolized by salt and light. The salt will remind you to always know your purpose.  When you think of salt, you ought to think of your purpose–hopefully you know your purpose if not see Ecclesiastes 12:13. The light will remind you that when others see you, they ought to see the king of creation Yeshua: the light of the world living in you.  We like Yeshua should impact the world around us by bringing the kingdom to the lost. In order for others to know what Yeshua looks like, they need to see you living out His character: love.  Love for Yahweh and love for the brethren (neighbor) represent the byproducts of obedience to Yahweh’s Ten Commandments (the basic standards of a loving and law abiding God).

How can you and I demonstrate this love of God in our communities, work places, and wherever we may travel?  How do we reflect both justice and mercy residing in peace with those around us?  How can we return into the kingdom of Yahweh?

Remember with Yahweh all things are possible to them that believe–you show your belief in God’s words by your obedience to His Commandments!  God’s Ten Commandments written with his very finger on tablets of stone and thundered down the mountain side show us the Creator’s basic standards of love to the lost children of Israel and for all the world.  God’s Ten Commandments with the help of His Holy Spirit will help you learn to reach the standard of God for your life: perfection!

What are 9 Ways To Receive A Blessing From Yahweh (God)?

  1. “Blessed [spiritually prosperous, happy, to be admired] are the poor in spirit [those devoid of spiritual arrogance, those who regard themselves as insignificant], for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever]. (Matthew 5:3 AMP)

“Blessed” in Greek means “Oh, how happy!”–according to Chuck Smith study guide on the Sermon on the Mount in the Blue Letter Bible.  Humble yourself before the Lord crying out for God to forgive you for your sins and turn from your wickedness with God’s help and in due season Yahweh will exalt you.  Mr. Smith says the following: “True happiness is a byproduct of a right relationship with God and cannot be discovered by direct pursuit.” When we recognize how poor, lost and insignificant we truly are apart from God, we will turn back to God our Creator. Then we will receive the kingdom of God today and forever with the gift of God’s Holy Spirit given to us.

  2. “Blessed [forgiven, refreshed by God’s grace] are those who mourn [over their sins and repent], for they will be comforted [when the burden of sin is lifted]. (Matthew 5:4 AMP)

Only God can lift our burdens, bondage to sin and set us free from an oppressive life.  If we do not see the damage caused by our sins against God, we may fail to properly humble ourselves at the feet of Yahweh in prayer.  Thus we may continue to suffer not knowing how to receive the help we so desperately want and need.  We must mourn both over our sins and repent for God to comfort us.

David was pardoned for committing adultery with Bathsheba and premeditated murder of Bathsheba’s husband.  There is no sin that you have committed and you cannot go so deep that Jesus’ blood on the cross cannot wash it away.  Any commandment you break you have broken all.  Any link in a chain you break the chain is broken. If you are suffering from guilt because of your sins, don’t continue to suffer.  You must go to the Lord and repent of your sins.  Jesus said He didn’t die for the righteous; he died for sinners.  Jesus said He puts our sins as far as the East is from the West away from Him if we repent and change–see David’s cry for forgiveness from God (Psalm 51 Amplified Bible (AMP) A Contrite Sinner’s Prayer for Pardon).

  3. “Blessed [inwardly peaceful, spiritually secure, worthy of respect] are the gentle [the kind-hearted, the sweet-spirited, the self-controlled], for they will inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:5 AMP)

We have an inheritance willed to us if we are gentle spirits in this physical and spiritual world we live in.

  4. “Blessed [joyful, nourished by God’s goodness] are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [those who actively seek right standing with God], for they will be[completely] satisfied. (Matthew 5:6 AMP)

We must first seek the kingdom of God.  We do so by seeking righteousness above all things.  When you hunger and thirst for something, you recognize that you cannot live without this righteousness for very long like you cannot live without food and water for very long.  God will provide us with righteousness if we actively seek a right relationship with Yahweh.  We will find satisfaction in knowing Yahweh.

  5. “Blessed [content, sheltered by God’s promises] are the merciful, for they will receive mercy. (Matthew 5:7 AMP)

When God grants you mercy, you will know to grant others mercy.  When you become merciful, you will in turn receive mercy.  One of the fruits of the spirit is long suffering as well as goodness seen in those who exhibit mercy.

  6. “Blessed [anticipating God’s presence, spiritually mature] are the pure in heart [those with integrity, moral courage, and godly character], for they will see God. (Matthew 5:8 AMP)

If you want to see God, you must possess a pure heart: a heart of integrity, courage to do right at all times and a character reflecting the character of our Maker.   When you look like Yeshua; you will see Yeshua.  You will see Yahweh.

  7. “Blessed [spiritually calm with life-joy in God’s favor] are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they will [express His character and] be called the sons of God. (Matthew 5:9 AMP)

The children of God are peace makers.

  8. “Blessed [comforted by inner peace and God’s love] are those who are persecuted for doing that which is morally right, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever].

The peacemakers will become persecuted for doing the right things pleasing unto God; however, they will receive the kingdom of God both now and for all eternity.

  9. “Blessed [morally courageous and spiritually alive with life-joy in God’s goodness] are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil things against you because of [your association with] Me. Be glad and exceedingly joyful, for your reward in heaven is great [absolutely inexhaustible]; for in this same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:11-12 AMP)

When others persecute you for your association with Yahweh, stand up strong and stay joyful knowing that your reward in heaven is great.  Don’t let the Devil and His children bring you down.  Know who you are and whose you are while remaining exceedingly joyful–salt to flavor the world around you and light to shine the light of the kingdom in a world engulfed in darkness (looking for direction and freedom for a better life)!  Next, there are four lessons to follow.

Yeshua Refers To Us As Salt and Light

  10. “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste (purpose), how can it be made salty? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and walked on by people [when the walkways are wet and slippery]. (Matthew 5:13 AMP)

  11. “You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.  Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16 AMP)

God’s Commandments Stand As Long As You Can Look Up And See the Sun, Stars, Moon (Heaven) And Look Around You And See The Earth

  12. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:17-19 KJV)

Yet it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single stroke of a letter of the Law to fail and become void. (Luke 16:17 AMP)

Many believe wrongly that God’s Ten Commandments were done away with at the cross of Calvary.  The ordinances book of the laws of Moses were nailed to the cross not the the Ten Commandments.  God says I change not.  Sin is the breaking of God’s Ten Commandments still found in the mercy seat in heaven.  The last book of the Bible clearly says in the last chapter in Revelation 22:14 (KJV) the following: “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” John says you must keep God’s Commandments to gain the right to enter the eternal kingdom of Yahweh.

God’s Ten Commandments Help Us To Know The Standard Of Perfection Required By God

  13. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:48 KJV)

Perfection has set standards to qualify to meet the criteria of perfection.  God showed mercy on you by sending Yeshua to pay the penalty of sin: the breaking of God’s Commandments.  If you continue to break God’s Commandments by saying you do not need to keep them, you will discover that you do not have the right to the tree of life.  There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth by so called followers of Christ–see Matt. 7:22-23; Matthew 13:42Rev. 16:10.  They will hear get away from me I never knew you.  Does Yeshua know you? Now is the time to study the four gospels and learn the truth.  The gospel is the power of God unto salvation.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”–Romans 1:16 AMP.

In Ephesians 1:13 Paul says, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth; the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.”

In Ephesians  5:17 Paul reminds us of the following: “Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”  We ought to know God’s will.  We ought to know God’s Commandments.  We ought to know the words of Yeshua found in red in the four gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

You are made in the image of God to walk perfectly before Him.  Your character should look like God’s character unadulterated love.   Pure love leads to perfection.

Let’s learn the lessons Yeshua taught on the mountain. You cannot learn these truths generally sitting in front of the television reflecting the character of Satan, nor taught these principles in schools or learn them generally from people in the communities/neighborhoods. Spending time in God’s four gospels will let Yeshua’s light shine through you by obeying God’s Commandments and attaining perfection: others see Yeshua looking at you!
